Ermete Realacci (born 1 May 1955 in Sora) is an Italian politician.
In the early 1970s Realacci participated in the Christian Animation Movement (MAC). After finishing his studies at the classical high school, he worked as a publicist. He has been leading Legambiente since the early years, of which he was president from 1987 to 2003 and of which he is still honorary president, [1] making it the most widespread and rooted Italian environmental association in the territory and becoming one of the most exponents of Italian environmentalism.
He has served as Deputy from 2001 to 2018 and in 2008 he has been Minister of the Environment of the Shadow Government of Walter Veltroni. [2]
Lake Lugano is a glacial lake which is situated on the border between southern Switzerland and northern Italy. The lake, named after the city of Lugano, is situated between Lake Como and Lago Maggiore. It was cited for the first time by Gregory of Tours in 590 with the name Ceresio, a name which is said to have derived from the Latin word cerasus, meaning cherry, and refers to the abundance of cherry trees which at one time adorned the shores of the lake.
