Ernest Nelson Mobley (November 1,1914 - March 10,2009) served in the California State Assembly representing the 33rd District and 31st District from 1967 to 1976. [1] During World War II he served in the United States Army. [2]
Mobley graduated from Ohio University in 1943,where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. [3]

Sigma Mu Sigma (ΣΜΣ) is a former American college fraternity founded in 1921 at Tri-State University. Sigma Mu Sigma was historically an all-male social fraternity open originally to Master Masons,and later open to all undergraduate male students. As a national fraternity,Sigma Mu Sigma dissolved in 1935 when it was absorbed by Tau Kappa Epsilon. Sigma Mu Sigma was later revived,developed another dozen chapters,and several of these were absorbed by Kappa Sig,Acacia and others. A few remaining chapters of Sigma Mu Sigma transformed into a co-ed service fraternity in 1984 but went defunct around 2020.

John Wesley Fribley was born on a farm near Assumption,Illinois,in 1906,and died in Shelbyville,Illinois,in 2002. He represented the 40th Senate District in the Illinois State Senate from 1934 through 1952. He had significant legislative achievements in transportation,oil and gas regulation,and mine safety. He helped investigate the Centralia mine disaster and was co-sponsor of the Illinois Mine Safety Law. He sponsored the Farm-to-Market Road Law,which constructed township roads and benefited rural towns in Central Illinois. He worked to improve the relationship between Chicago and downstate Illinois. Fribley was a downstate floor leader for former Governor Adlai E. Stevenson.

Loyal M. Haynes was a brigadier general in the United States Army and the commanding general of the 2nd Infantry Division Artillery during the Korean War. Haynes was awarded a Distinguished Service Medal for his exploits during World War II. At the conclusion of World War II Haynes was a passenger on the airplane involved in the 1946 C-53 Skytrooper crash on the Gauli Glacier but survived with only a broken nose. He subsequently commanded an artillery task force during The Great Naktong Offensive in the Korean War. Haynes is an alumnus of Knox College,where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
