Erundu Combined School

Erundu Combined School formerly known as Erundu Secondary School is a formerly white-only school on Kwame Nkrumah Street in Oshakati, situated in the Oshana region in northern Namibia.

In 2010, it was considered one of the best schools in Namibia but has since lost this status. [1] The school taught Fysal El Maralby, the 4th best learner in Namibia. This accomplishment made the community of the school of Erundu proud and well known in the country.

It was a junior secondary school until 2008, teaching grades 1 to 10. Then grades 11 and 12 were added, and the name was changed to "combined school". [2] In August 2010, the school got a newly renovated and computer-equipped resource center which was named after Eddie Bezuidenhout, a benefactor of the school and the school inspector responsible for the Eheke Circuit. [1]

The school currently needs funding from parents or financial institutions, to build more classrooms and fix broken equipment.

Basketball was once its most important sport, but this was greatly overshadowed by its rugby team which was largely funded by the players and outside sponsors.

The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) is a private school in Namibia and a German International School Abroad. Situated in the capital Windhoek, The DHPS also offers boarding school facilities, a kindergarten and pre-school and primary and secondary grades from grade 1 to 12. Various sporting facilities are part of the spacious campus in the centre of town, e.g. swimming pool, hostel, basketball courts, soccer fields, beach volleyball field and roller hockey rink. Nehale Senior Secondary School is a public school in Onayena, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. Established in 1976, it is among the oldest secondary schools in the region. Nehale SSS is named after Nehale Mpingana, king of the Ondonga. The school is located at Onayena, approximately 20 kilometres east of Ondangwa.

Dawid Bezuidenhout is a high school in the suburb of Khomasdal in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It is a government owned school with approximately 1300 learners and 43 teachers. The school was named after Dawid Bezuidenhout who was a teacher and Minister of Transport of the Transitional Government of National Unity.

Delta Secondary School Windhoek (DSSW) previously known as Deutsche Oberschule Windhoek, is a government secondary school in Namibia. Jan Möhr Secondary School is a school situated in Windhoek, Namibia. The school was founded on March 2, 1962 and is one of the oldest schools in Namibia. The school is known for its excellent academic record. The school has continued to achieve an annual 90% and 60% pass rate for grade 10 and 12 results respectively. The school was originally known as the Windhoek West High School (WHHS) but was later changed to Jan Möhr Secondary School, being named after the then Director of Education Mr JD Mohr. The school's motto is 'Altyd My Beste', which means 'Always My Best' when translated into English.

Phillemon Ndjambula born is a Namibian former Member of the National Council (Namibia) for Oshikoto Region in 1998 to 2010, he was also the first Regional Councillor for the Olukonda Constituency in 1992. Ndjambula attended Primary education at Onezizi Combined School and later on completed grade 12 at Andimba Toivo ya Toivo Senior Secondary School formerly in 1975.

Culture in Namibia is a blend of many different people and its culture and customs have absorbed both African and European elements and fused them into a blend of the two. Although the country is urbanising rapidly, a majority of Namibians still live in rural areas and lead largely impoverished lives. It is among these people, however, that cultural tradition survive most strongly.
