Ervin Demo (born 28 May 1982) is an Albanian academic and politician. As of September 2025,he has been elected as a Member of the Parliament of Albania,representing Berat County. In the same month,he was appointed as Minister of State for Local Government of Albania. [1]
Demo holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Westminster in London and a master's degree in Management and Marketing from Kingston University. He later pursued additional studies at the University of Tirana.
Since 2004,he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana. His academic work includes co-authoring books and publishing articles primarily related to economics and public administration. [2]
From October 2017 to October 2018,Demo served as Deputy Minister of Education,Sports and Youth in Albania. [3] During this time,he contributed to education and youth policy development.
Demo was elected Mayor of Berat in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. In this capacity,he has taken part in local governance activities,including urban planning and various initiatives focused on economic and community development. [4] [5]
In the 2025 parliamentary elections,Demo was elected as a member of the Parliament of Albania,representing the constituency of Berat County. [6] [7]
