Escape Halloween is an electronic dance music festival organized by promoter and distributor Insomniac. The annual event, which debuted in 2011, is held at the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino, California on the weekend preceding Halloween, and is centered around Halloween and traditional horror themes. [1] [2] There are themed stages, Halloween walk-through mazes, art galleries, and costumed performers. [3] Music genres include EDM, house, dance, electro house, drum and bass, techno, dance-punk, hardstyle, dubstep, trance, and more.

Contents

The festival holds four main stage tents. Stages that have been hosted by the event include Insomniac's brands: Audiotistic, Basscon, Bassrush, and Factory 93. Stages have also been hosted by artists such as Richie Hawtin's ENTER., Jamie Jones presents Paradise, Laidback Luke's Super You & Me, and Nicole Moudaber's MOODzone.

History

The first Escape Halloween festival debuted in 2011 under the name "Escape From Wonderland". It was held by Insomniac Events at the National Orange Show Event Center ("NOS Event Center") in San Bernardino, CA, and featured artists including Afrojack, Benny Benassi, Cedric Gervais, and Crizzly.

For Escape's second year in 2012, they kept the name "Escape from Wonderland" and returned to the NOS Event Center in Southern California. [4]

The festival continued to keep the name "Escape From Wonderland" in 2013, and took place in the San Manuel Amphitheater in Southern California. [5]

In 2014, the festival adopted the name "Escape: All Hallows Eve" and returned to the NOS Event Center in Southern California. [6]

For 2015, the festival changed its name to "Escape: Psycho Circus." It was hosted again in the NOS Event Center in Southern California. [7] The lineup included Adam Auburn, Eric Prydz, Joris Voorn, and Paul Van Dyk amongst many others.

In 2016, the festival kept the name "Escape: Psycho Circus" and again returned to the NOS Event Center, hosting Yellow Claw, The Chainsmokers, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, and Kaskade among others. This was also the first year that Richie Hawtin's ENTER. did not host the Cannibals' Tea Party, techno stage.

In 2017, the festival continued to keep the name "Escape: Psycho Circus" and again took place at the NOS Event Center, featuring Tiesto, DJ Snake, NGHTMRE, Marshmello, and more. Audiotistic hosted a stage and Basscon brought hardstyle to the Halloween party. Bassrush hosted The Chopping Block for two nights, while Factory 93 hosted both nights at the Cannibals' Tea Party with Jamie Jones presenting Paradise on and Nicole Moudaber's MOODzone.

In 2024, the festival also included a stage by Boiler Room, with artists such as DeadMau5, Wooli, Illenium, Martin Garrix, and more.

Hard is an American music festival, music cruise and concert brand founded in 2007. The event line-ups consist of alternative and electronic acts and emerging talents. The first Hard Music Festival was held on December 31, 2007 in Downtown Los Angeles and featured Justice, Peaches and 2 Live Crew. Hard is best known for the Hard Summer Music Festival and Hard Haunted Mansion, though also runs several smaller events and one-off shows. Hard is sometimes called "Hardfest" by fans, based on the event's website and social media shortcuts. <i>Los Psycho Circus</i> Professional wrestling group

Los Psycho Circus is a lucha libre, or professional wrestling, trio who worked for the Mexico City based Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA) as a rudo team. The trio consists of three enmascarado, or masked, wrestlers known under the ring names Psycho Clown, Monster Clown and Murder Clown. They are former two-time AAA World Trios Champions and were also the last holders of the Mexican National Atómicos Championship with Chessman. Los Psycho Circus is most known for an exaggerated undefeated streak since their debut in 2007, they are announced as having won over 600 matches. The streak came to an end in December 2010.

Murder Clown is the ring name of a Mexican luchadorenmascarado, or masked professional wrestler, currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). Murder Clown's ring character is that of a nightmarish clown and he is part of Los Psycho Circus along with Monster Clown and Psycho Clown. Murder Clown's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept secret from the wrestling fans.

Beyond Wonderland is an electronic dance festival organized by Insomniac Events. The event has been held in various locations across the west coast including Seattle, San Bernardino, and Mountain View spanning either one or two days. As the festival continued to grow from its earlier roots, it has branched into two festivals: Beyond Socal and Beyond Norcal/Bay Area, catering to the growing audience. However, this expansion of the Beyond series lasted for only four years before founder Pasquale Rotella announced that he would no longer continue having both Beyond Socal and Norcal to pursue expansion and creation of other festivals of the Insomniac brand.

Audiotistic Music Festival is a music festival that occurs annually in Northern California at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. Audiotistic is known for sporting a diverse assortment of genres, ranging from rap and hip hop to electronic genres drum & bass and dubstep. Previously, it was held in Southern California, US, from 1997 to 2003 and from 2009 to 2011, in various venues such as the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, the L.A. Sports Arena, and the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. However, on July 15, 2017, the festival returned but this time to the Bay Area with two main stages. The festival would continue to expanding by adding an additional day in 2018.

Paradiso Festival was an annual electronic dance music (EDM) festival held at The Gorge Amphitheatre located on the Columbia River in George, Washington, United States. Founded by USC Events and Live Nation Entertainment in 2012, Paradiso was billed as the "largest Electronic Dance Music event ever staged in the Pacific Northwest", with the 2012 attendance exceeding 29,000 people. The 2013 event saw performances by Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Tiesto, and more.

Sage Steele Kimzey is an American professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. For most of his career, he competed in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), winning seven bull riding world championships. He also competed in the now-defunct Championship Bull Riding (CBR) organization, where he won three world championships. Since 2023, he has ridden for the Carolina Cowboys during the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Team Series season. As of 2024, he competes full-time in the PBR.
