Estadio Chihuahua is a stadium in Chihuahua, Mexico. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Dorados de Chihuahua baseball team of the Mexican League. [2] It holds 14,500 people and opened in 2005. [1]

Estadio Revolución

Estadio de la Revolución is a sports arena located near the downtown area of Torreón in Coahuila, Mexico. It has a seating capacity of 9,500. Though used mainly for baseball games, it sometimes hosts concerts and other non-sport events. It is the home field of the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna baseball team, and as such, it is the oldest professional baseball field in Mexico still in function. Since it was originally constructed as a multi sport stadium and featured a running track the Estadio de la Revolución features the largest foul territory of any ball park within the Mexican League, the area of the former running track. The stadium is named to commemorate the Mexican Revolution of 1910–1920, a political change that was still recent at the time of the venue's opening on 15 September 1932. The stadium was renovated in the fall of 2002 to provide a refurbished appearance for the baseball team's reorganization, renaming, and new season starting in 2003.

Francisco "Paquín" Estrada Soto was a Major League Baseball player for the New York Mets. Estrada, a catcher, appeared in one game for the Mets in 1971. Estrada was at the time of his death the manager of the Chihuahua Dorados in the Mexican League (Summer), and catcher's coach with Culiacán Tomateros in the Mexican Pacific League (Winter). In 2006, he served as the manager of the Mexico national baseball team for the World Baseball Classic.

Parque Kukulcán Alamo is a stadium located in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Leones de Yucatán Mexican League baseball team. It holds 14,917 people and was opened in 1982. The stadium is named for Kukulkán, the Maya feathered serpent deity.

Dorados de Chihuahua are a refounded baseball team from the city of Chihuahua. Recently, the Tuneros de San Luis moved to Chihuahua and took the Dorados namesake, which also brought the LMB (AAA) Mexican Baseball League to Chihuahua for the first time since 1982. The Dorados played their home games at Estadio Chihuahua. The Dorados will be sold to either Nuevo Laredo or Aguascalientes for the 2011–2012 season.

Arnoldo Lavagnino "Kiko" Castro was a Mexican baseball player who is in the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame. He played from 1958 to 1983 for the Chihuahua Dorados (1958), Aguascalientes Tigres (1960–1961), Mexico City Red Devils (1960), Mexico City Tigers, Sabinas Piratas (1971–1973), Coahuila Mineros (1974–1976) and Veracruz Aguila (1983). He managed the Tabasco Plataneros for the latter part of the 1980 season, replacing Raul Cano, and in 1983 he skippered the Chihuahua Dorados. He was elected to the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.

El Dorado Speedway is a motorsports venue in Juan Aldama, Chihuahua near the state capital of Chihuahua City. Currently El Dorado Speedway hosts dates for the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series since 2012.
