Esther Deden (born 1 July 1994) is a Dutch recurve archer.
Deden represented the Netherlands at the 2015 European Games in the individual event and team event in Baku, Azerbaijan. [1] She also competed in the individual recurve event, team recurve event and mixed team recurve event at the 2015 World Archery Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. [2]
At the 2015 European Games in Baku, five events of archery were contested, all in the target archery format, with recurve bows. The events took place at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium over seven days of competition. The European Games format followed that of the Olympic Games with 64 men and 64 women competing in the recurve division, in individual and team events as well as in mixed team.
The women's individual recurve competition at the 2015 European Games was held from 16 to 19 June 2015 at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan. One of five events comprising the inaugural European Games' archery programme, it featured a total of 62 archers from 30 different nations.
Miguel Alvariño Garcia is an athlete from Spain, who competes in recurve archery. He found prominence as the winner of the men's individual archery competition at the inaugural European Games. At the same event, he was part of the Spanish team that won a silver medal in the team competition.
Sjef van den Berg is a retired Dutch competitive archer. He has won a total of two medals at the 2015 European Games, and eventually finished fourth in the men's individual archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Van der Berg currently trains at HBV Ontspanning in Sint-Oedenrode, under the tutelage of his coach Ron van der Hoff, a former Olympian at the Athens 2004 edition.
Juan Ignacio Rodríguez Liebana is a Spanish competitive archer. He won a silver medal as a member of the nation's archery squad at the 2013 Mediterranean Games and at the 2015 European Games. Since his sporting debut as a 19-year-old, Fernandez currently trains under the tutelage of his Korean-born coach Cho Hyung-mok for the Spanish team, while shooting at a local archery range in his native Las Rozas de Madrid.
Mete Gazoz is a Turkish recurve archer. He won the gold medal in the men's individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. He also represented Turkey at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the 2023 World Archery Championships held in Berlin, Mete Gazoz emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious Individual title. In an intense final, he triumphed over the skilled Canadian archer Eric Peters, securing his place as the first Turkish archer to achieve the esteemed recurve gold medal in a World Championship.

Veronika Serhiyivna Marchenko is a Ukrainian competitive archer. She has collected medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, and the European Championships.
Mitch Dielemans is a Dutch competitive archer. He won a bronze medal in the men's team recurve at the 2015 European Games, and eventually competed as a member of the Dutch archery squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Dielemans currently serves as an intern at the Dutch sport centre Papendal, while pursuing his studies major in commercial economics at the Randstad Topsport Academie in Deventer.
Atanu Das is an Indian archer. He represents India in the recurve men's individual and team events. His current world ranking is 9 as of 22 July 2021. He is the spouse of former World No. 1 Indian archer Deepika Kumari. The Indian Men's recurve team consisting of Atanu Das, Dhiraj Bommadevara and Tushar Shelke won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games. They lost the final to Republic of Korea.
Anastasiia Vladyslavivna Pavlova is a Ukrainian competitive archer. She has collected a career total of at least ten medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, the World Cup series, and the European Championships.
The women's individual recurve competition at the 2019 European Games was held from 21 to 26 June 2019 at the Olympic Sports Complex in Minsk, Belarus. It was the second time the event was held as part of the European Games archery programme. A total of 48 archers from 32 different nations entered the competition, with a maximum of three entries per country. The event offered one qualifying spot for the women's individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics for any archer reaching the semi-finals from a nation that had not already qualified. The defending champion, Karina Winter of Germany, did not take part following her retirement from the sport.

Steve Wijler is a Dutch archer competing in men's recurve events. He won the bronze medal in the men's individual recurve event at the 2017 World Archery Championships held in Mexico City, Mexico. In 2021, Wijler and Gabriela Schloesser won the silver medal in the mixed team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Sarah Bettles is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. She also competed in the women's individual recurve event. Earlier in 2019, she won the bronze medal in the women's team recurve event at the World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Bryony Michaela Pitman is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. Earlier in 2019, she won the bronze medal in the women's team recurve event at the World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Michelle Kroppen is a German archer. She competed in the women's individual event, and women's team, at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal.
