Esther Wangeci (born 22 November 1990) is a Kenyan female volleyball player. She is part of the Kenya women's national volleyball team.
Volleyball is a popular team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964.
The Kenya women's national volleyball team represents Kenya in international volleyball competitions. Kenya has dominated the African continent since the 90's winning the Women's African Volleyball Championship a record nine times. They also won the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix group 3 title after beating Peru in the final.
She participated in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. On club level she played for Kenya Pipeline Company in 2014. [1]
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 22nd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 25 July to 24 August 2014. The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory.
