EUROCINEMA is a worldwide television service dedicated to Award-Winning European films and selected Eurocentric lifestyle segments.

Currently, Eurocinema is available on demand to 36 million cable and telco subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

Availability

Eurocinema content is available in the on-demand section of major providers throughout the U.S. and Canada, including the Comcast/Xfinity, Verizon FiOS, Cablevision, Charter Communications, Shaw, Wave Broadband and Buckeye Cable System platforms. In addition, much of the film library and lifestyle content can be viewed online, through the website's streaming service.

Partnerships

On March 15, 2013, Eurocinema entered a multi-year agreement with Miramax, allowing the network to debut some of the films from Miramax's international catalog. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

On October 15, 2013, Eurocinema launched a streaming video site that allows users to rent and watch movies on their desktop computers and mobile devices. [9]

In October 2015, Eurocinema announced its ambition to launch a linear television channel called Eurocinema World during 2016. [10]

On October 15, 2016, Amazon.com announced a deal to make a selection of Eurocinema content available on its Amazon Video streaming service under the brand Eurocinema Carte Blanche. [11]

Additional Eurocinema partners include Samuel Goldwyn Films, MusicBox Films, Kino Lorber, Euronews, France 24, Unifrance, Alliance Francaise, French Cultural Office (French Embassy), French Consulate, and others. [12] [13] [14]

History

Eurocinema was co-founder and launched in 2007 by Sebastien Perioche and made its cable debut that same year. Eurocinema is a registered trademark of Eurocinema-USA, LLC. [15] [16]

Xumo, LLC is an American internet television and consumer electronics company. It is a joint venture of Charter Communications and Comcast that operates the free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) and advertising video on demand (AVOD) service Xumo Play, and distributes Xumo-branded digital media players and smart TVs—which are based on Comcast's X1 software platform. The service's operations are based in the Los Angeles suburb of Irvine, California. As of October 2020, the service has 24 million monthly active users.

OutTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel that was launched in September 2001. It broadcasts general entertainment and lifestyle programming aimed at the LGBT community.

SonyLIV is a over-the-top freemium streaming platform owned by Culver Max Entertainment. SonyLIV was introduced in 2013 as the first OTT service in India. As a streaming service, it carries content from its local networks, including films, television series, live sports matches and original programming, and also features content licensed from third-parties in India such as Lionsgate and ITV among others. Since 2020, SonyLIV has taken more of an active role as a producer and distributor for both films and television series, offering original programming content through its online library.

HBO Now was an American subscription video on demand streaming service for premium television network HBO owned by WarnerMedia subsidiary Home Box Office, Inc. Officially unveiled on March 9 and launched on April 7, 2015 the service allows subscribers on-demand access to HBO's library of original programs, films and other content on personal computers, smartphones, tablet devices and digital media players. Unlike HBO Go, HBO's online video on demand service for existing subscribers of the linear television channel, HBO Now was available as a standalone service and does not require a television subscription to use, targeting cord cutters who use competing services such as Netflix and Hulu. As of February 2018, HBO Now had 5 million subscribers.

The company offers a video-on-demand subscription service branded as "Curiosity Stream" and a linear broadcast television channel known as the Curiosity Channel. It was launched in 2015 by the founder of the Discovery Channel, John S. Hendricks. Named after the NBC logo, the service launched on July 15, 2020. The service primarily features series and film content from NBCUniversal studios and other third-party content providers, including television series, films, news, and sports programming. The service is available in a free ad-supported version with limited content, while premium tiers include a larger content library and access to additional NBC Sports, Hallmark Channel, and WWE content.
