Eurofolk, a European Scout event for Rover Scouts, was a cultural festival organized every four years between 1977 and 1997 by the European Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and the European Guide Committee of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
The single events were held in several countries. EuroFolk has been integrated into the Europe For You ! programme from 1996, involving the last event, held in 1997.

The principles of its organization were simple: in preparation for the event, participating groups prepared their selected items: dances, music, songs, pantomimes, games, costumes or cultural shows. Once at the camp, they shared the folklore and traditions of their respective countries or regions with others, and at the same time they learned new aspects of other cultures in workshops. A wide variety of workshops was offered, including painting, drawing, weaving, spinning, singing, dancing, selfexpression through movement, glass-blowing, dressmaking and cookery. Usually, local artists and craftsmen led the workshops. The number of participants ranged from 1,000 to 3,000. [5]
The Festival has laid the groundwork of European awareness among young people, mainly the 1993 and 1997 events, that came after the demolition of Berlin Wall (09.11.1989) and the Maastricht Treaty (07.02.1992), getting benefit from the new social atmosphere of communion and friendship beyond frontiers, although the last event in Belgium, in terms of attendance, suffered the competition with the world youth day in Paris.
With the increase in intolerance, xenophobia and racism in Europe, in the new millennium there was still a clear need to provide young people with opportunities to experience and appreciate cultural diversity, as well as to learn about current issues and acquire useful skills for their personal and professional lives. However, the name and form of "Eurofolk" needed to be reviewed and the concept developed further to ensure that it meets the needs of today's young people. [6] For this reason, participants (more than 40 representatives of Scout and Guide associations in 25 countries) at the seminar in Olympos, Turkey, from 20-26 May 2000 were asked to develop a new concept of a European event for young people aged 16-22. They proposed the name "RoverWay" and provided input and guidelines for the new event, that took place for the first time in 2003, in Portugal.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is a global association supporting the female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 152 countries. It was established in 1928 in Parád, Hungary, and has its headquarters in London, United Kingdom. It is the counterpart of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). WAGGGS is organized into five regions and operates five international Guiding centers. It holds full member status in the European Youth Forum (YFJ), which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union areas and works closely with these bodies.
Junák - český skaut, is the internationally recognized organization of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic. Founded in 1911, Junák - český skaut is the largest organisation of children and youth in the nation, with a membership of 64,383.
Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Österreichs is the largest Scouting and Guiding organization in Austria and the only one approved by World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The association claims more than 300 troops with more than 85,000 Scouts nationwide. WOSM and WAGGGS give quite smaller membership values for the PPÖ: 9,503 Scouts and 10,508 Guides.
In Scouting, a jamboree is a large gathering of Scouts who rally at a national or international level.
Rover Scouts, Rovers, Rover Scouting or Rovering is a program associated with some Scouting organizations for adult men and women. A group of Rovers is called a 'Rover Crew'.
The European Scout Region is one of six geographical subdivisions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with a satellite office in Brussels, Belgium.
Estonian Scout Association is the primary national Scouting organization of Estonia, became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1996. The coeducational Eesti Skautide Ühing has 1,337 members as of 2011.
Scouting in Kyrgyzstan was founded in November 1994 and is not yet a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, but is working toward WOSM recognition. Kyrgyzstan has multiple Scout associations, several of which are members of Kyrgyz Respublikasynyn Skaut Kengesh, the Kyrgyz Republic Scouting Union.
Lietuvos skautija, the primary national Scouting organization of Lithuania, became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1997. The coeducational Lietuvos skautija has 1,446 members as of 2012.
Sojuz na Izvidnici na Makedonija , the national Scouting organization of Republic of North Macedonia, became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1997. The coeducational Sojuz na Izvidnici na Makedonija has 2140 members as of 2016.
Slovenský skauting, is the primary national Scouting and Guiding organization of Slovakia. Currently has around 7000 members. With 3,157 Scouts and about 3,000 Guides. Slovenský Skauting is the largest youth organization in Slovakia and a member of both the World Organization of the Scout Movement and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
The Ittihodi Scouthoi Tojikiston, the national Scouting organization of Tajikistan, was founded in 1993, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) on April 18, 1997. The coeducational Ittihodi Scouthoi Tojikiston has 511 members as of 2011. Tajikistan is the only one of the three Persian nations thus far whose Scouting is recognized by WOSM.
The Asia-Pacific Scout Region is the divisional office of the World Scout Bureau of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, headquartered in Makati, Philippines, with satellite offices in Australia and Japan. The Asia-Pacific Region services Scouting in the land area of Asia south of Siberia and east of Central Asia, and the bulk of the Pacific Basin, with the exception of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau, which are under the Interamerican Region by way of the Aloha Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding association of India. The national headquarters of BSG is recognised by the Government of India.
The Bangladesh Scouts is the national Scouting organization of Bangladesh. Scouting was founded in 1914 in East Bengal, now Bangladesh, as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association, and continued as part of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association until the country's divided sections split in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, in 1972, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed as successor of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 1,474,460 members as of 2015.
Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Liechtensteins is the national Scouting and Guiding association of Liechtenstein. Scouting in Liechtenstein started in 1931, and Guiding followed in 1932. The Boy Scouts became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1933, and the Guides joined the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1952. In 1989 both organizations merged and formed the present Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Liechtensteins. The PPL has about 1,100 members of both sexes and is organised in ten troops.
The 21st World Scout Jamboree was held in July and August 2007, and formed a part of the Scouting 2007 Centenary celebrations of the world Scout Movement. The event was hosted by the United Kingdom, as 2007 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Scouting on Brownsea Island.

Our Cabaña is an international Girl Guide centre of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) located in Cuernavaca, Mexico, It opened in July 1957 as a Baden-Powell centennial memorial. The centre can house over 100 guests.
