European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education

The European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education (ENPHE) is a non-profit association of leading physical therapy universities in Europe. ENPHE was set up in February 1995, with headquarters in Utrecht, Netherlands. The main objectives are to provide high quality physical therapy education in Europe and to improve links between association members in research, as well as postgraduate and continuing education. Physical therapy education

Physical therapy education varies greatly from country to country. Worldwide, physical therapy training ranges from basic work site education in hospitals and outpatient clinics to professional doctoral degree and masters programs.

The Subject Centre for Health Sciences and Practice is one of 24 Subject Centres funded within the Higher Education Academy to promote high quality learning and teaching in UK Higher Education (HE) by providing subject-based support for sharing innovations and good practices. It is hosted by King's College, London. The Director is Prof Catherine Geissler. The centre was founded in 2000

The University of Montenegro Faculty of Applied Physiotherapy is one of the educational institutions of the University of Montenegro. The building is located in Igalo, and the Faculty is the only physical therapy school in Montenegro and the region.

Founded in 1951, World Physiotherapy is the sole international voice for physiotherapy, representing more than 625,000 physiotherapists worldwide through its 121 member organisations. World Physiotherapy is the operating name of World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).

It was established in 1991 and is published by SAGE Publications in association with the British Association of Hand Therapists and the European Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy.

The University of Medicine, Tirana (UMT) is a public university of Health and Medical Sciences located in Tirana, Albania.

Malcolm Peat, MBE was a Canadian academic. He was a Professor Emeritus of Queen's University. He was a pioneer in the development of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation academically in Canada and was responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of disability and rehabilitation practices throughout the world. He was the first Canadian physical therapist to obtain a doctoral qualification and to assume Directorship of a Canadian university school of rehabilitation, and the first to develop and implement university graduate studies in Rehabilitation in Canada.

Enid Gordon Graham was a leading founder of physiotherapy in Canada. She was named a Person of National Historic Significance in 2014.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association was founded by Teepoo Hall in 1905. The APA has published the Journal of Physiotherapy since 1954.
