Evan Waldrep (born May 8, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Hume City FC in the NPL Victoria in Australia.

Career

College

Waldrep played at Creighton University in his freshmen and sophomore years and then transferred to Grand Canyon University for the 2017 season. [1] He was named one of the top three Division I "impact transfers" by Top Drawer Soccer. [2]

Professional

Waldrep was signed by Phoenix Rising FC on February 14, 2018. [3] He also played for FC Tucson of the Premier Development League in 2016.

On August 12, 2019, California United Strikers FC announced they had signed Waldrep ahead of their inaugural season in the National Independent Soccer Association. [4] He played in each of the team's regular season games during the fall and started in the West Coast Championship against Los Angeles Force which his team won via penalty kicks. [5]

The Grand Canyon University Stadium is a collegiate soccer venue located on the campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. The soccer-specific stadium has a capacity of 6,000 and includes a full-sized soccer field. The field is located on the west end of the school's campus, sitting directly in front of Antelope Gymnasium, the university's secondary indoor athletic facility, and is in close proximity to Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark, home of the GCU baseball program. The facility debuted on August 19, 2016 when the stadium hosted 6,402 fans for a Grand Canyon Antelopes men's soccer game against the UCF Knights. The debut crowd featured the most fans to watch a collegiate soccer game in the state of Arizona. GCU Stadium hosts the school's men's and women's soccer teams.
