"We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded by British rock band Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it number 330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and it placed at number 146 on the Songs of the Century list in 2001. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Black Box is an Italian house music group popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The members of the group included a trio made up of club DJ Daniele Davoli, classically trained clarinet teacher Valerio Semplici, and keyboardist and electronic musician Mirko Limoni. The group created an image for Black Box using French fashion model Katrin Quinol on their album and single cover art as the supposed lead singer in all their music videos. However, the band's success radically changed when it was revealed that Quinol was lip-syncing to the group's actual recorded vocalist Martha Wash, who sang the majority of the songs on the group's debut album Dreamland.
"Dragostea Din Tei", also informally known as "Maya Hi" and "Numa Numa" (see § Lyrics), is a song by Moldovan pop group O-Zone, released as the second single from their third studio album, DiscO-Zone (2004). It received positive reviews from critics and shot to the number-one spot on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles, where it remained for 12 weeks between June and early September 2004. It topped the single charts in France, Germany and Austria for over three months, reached three in the United Kingdom and number 72 on the US Pop 100. The song became the fourth best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 1.17 million units sold.

BoBo has also released as many as 34 singles to date, some of which have charted high not only in German speaking countries, but also in other European territories.

The song was released on 31 July 2000 as the lead single from the album. It samples the strings from Barry White's song "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me" and also contains a sample of "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest and has a quote from "La Di Da Di" by Slick Rick and Doug E. It finished 2002 as Australia's 30th best-selling single, Flanders' fourth best-selling single, and Wallonia's 40th best-selling single.

Mohombi Nzasi Moupondo is a Congolese-Swedish musician, singer, composer and dancer. He grew up in Norsborg and Kista near Stockholm. Mohombi was RedOne's first signing to 2101 Records in joint venture with Universal Music Group. From 2000 to 2008, Mohombi was part of the Swedish hip hop group Avalon with his brother Djo Moupondo. Mohombi released his debut solo single "Bumpy Ride" in August 2010. The single became a worldwide hit, and charted in the top-ten in several countries, and was followed by his debut studio album MoveMeant in February 2011.
"Everybody's Free " is a song by Zambian-born Zimbabwean singer Rozalla. It was released in September 1991 as the second single from her album, Everybody's Free. It had been a staple in the clubs in Ibiza and Mallorca that summer, where hordes of recovering ravers were delighted to find “that tune about being free to feel good and stuff” was available to buy back home. The song peaked at number-one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart in the US. In Europe, "Everybody's Free" reached number 2 in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. It was also a Top 10 hit in Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the single reached number 6. And in Zimbabwe, it peaked at number 4. Today, the song is widely regarded as one of the biggest dance anthems of the 1990s and it has been remixed and re-released several times. Rozalla performed the song at the start of The X Factor's companion show, The Xtra Factor, on 21 October 2013.
