Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, who has been the only constant member throughout multiple line-up changes. The current line-up consists of Homme alongside Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore. The band also have a large pool of contributors and collaborators. Queens of the Stone Age are known for their blues, Krautrock and electronica-influenced style of riff-oriented and rhythmic hard rock music, coupled with Homme's distinct falsetto vocals and unorthodox guitar scales.
Y&T is an American hard rock/heavy metal band formed in 1974 in Oakland, California. The band released two studio albums on London Records as Yesterday & Today in the 1970s, before shortening their name to Y&T and releasing several albums on A&M Records beginning in 1981, plus albums on Geffen Records, Avex Records, and others. The band was originally co-managed by Herbie Herbert and Louis "Lou" Bramy. The band has sold over 4 million albums worldwide to date.
Slint was an American rock band consisting of Brian McMahan, David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford, Todd Brashear, and Ethan Buckler. They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, in 1986. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989. It was followed two years later by the critically acclaimed Spiderland, released on the independent label Touch and Go Records.
Origin is the first demo album by the American rock band Evanescence. Although initially deemed the group's debut album, it has since been considered a demo. It was self-released in 2000, with approximately 50 copies having been made. The Bigwig Enterprises website sold the demo album in limited numbers.
God Lives Underwater was a techno rock band from rural Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, formed in 1993 by band members David Reilly and Jeff Turzo. STEMM is an American metal band from Niagara Falls, New York, United States. STEMM was formed in 1998 by Joe Cafarella. He, along with Louie and Jimi Penque, Russ Martin, and Alex Scouten made up the original lineup of the band. Alex left the band in 1999, and was briefly replaced by guitarist Fred Blackwell. Rich Spalla replaced Fred shortly after. This lineup remained intact until 2003. Joe and Rich merged with drummer Danny Nelligan, bassist Stephen Crowl, and vocalist TJ Frost of Buffalo band 5 Years Gone, to create a new incarnation of the band. This lineup also saw a change in the musical direction of the band from Rapcore to more of a metal act.
From Autumn to Ashes is a post-hardcore band based in Long Island, New York. The group formed in 2000 under the name Who's to Blame. While the band had gone through many line-up changes, the members include Francis Mark, Scott Gross (guitars), Benjamin Perri, Brian Deneeve, Stephen Salvio (guitars), Josh Newton, Mike Pilato, Rob Lauritsen (guitars), Jonathan Cox (guitars) and Jeff Gretz.
David Hall Hodges is a singer, songwriter, producer, composer, and keyboardist from Little Rock, Arkansas who has sold over 60 million albums. He is well known for having been a member of the band Evanescence, as well as a successful songwriter and producer. He has also been part of the bands Trading Yesterday, The Age of Information, Avox, and Arrows to Athens
The Age of Information was an American alternative rock band originally formed in 2002 by David Hodges and Mark Colbert, and later joined by Steven McMorran. In 2004, The Age of Information released a demo CD titled The Beauty and the Tragedy, and after signing with Epic Records later that year, they released their first single, "One Day", in the summer of 2005, along with an announcement for the upcoming album "More Than This". After a premature end to their contract with Epic Records, the album "More Than This" was shelved until 2011, when it was finally released independently by David Hodges' Sleepwalker Records.

Rise Above is an album by indie rock band Dirty Projectors, released on September 11, 2007. The album was band leader David Longstreth's reinterpretation of Black Flag album Damaged from memory having not heard it in 15 years. The album features Longstreth on guitar and vocals, Amber Coffman on vocals and guitar, Brian McOmber on drums, Nat Baldwin on bass, and Susanna Waiche on vocals. Angel Deradoorian would join the band shortly before the Rise Above tour on bass and vocals. This album is the first that presents Dirty Projectors as a fully realized band rather than an individual project of Longstreth.
The 4-Skins are an English working class Oi! band from the East End of London, England. Originally composed of Gary Hodges (vocals), 'Hoxton' Tom McCourt (guitar), Steve 'H' Hamer (bass) and Gary Hitchcock (drums), they formed in 1979 and disbanded in 1984 – although new line-ups formed in 2007 and 2008. Many of their songs dealt with violent topics, but the band has claimed they were discussing the realities of inner city life, not promoting violence. Other 4-Skins song topics include police harassment, political corruption, war and unemployment.
A Place to Bury Strangers are an American, New York City-based noise rock band, composed of Oliver Ackermann, Dion Lunadon and Lia Simone Braswell (drums). The band, commonly known by the initials APTBS, play a heavy, atmospheric Wall of Sound–influenced blend of psychedelic rock, shoegaze and space rock. A likely source of inspiration for the band's name is the 1898 Aleister Crowley poem "Aceldama", subtitled: "A place to bury strangers in".

More Than This is the debut and only studio album by American alternative rock band The Age of Information, known then as 'Trading Yesterday'. It was professionally recorded in Los Angeles, however due to the band departing from Epic Records, was shelved and never released. It was leaked for download over the Internet in December 2006, where it gained a fanbase. In 2010, David Hodges re-acquired the album rights from Epic Records, after which he officially released the album in September 2011, though the official release does not include the track, "World On Fire". The album contained seven tracks from the band's demo, The Beauty and the Tragedy, but are longer on this album and have more backing instrumental added.
