Three 6 Mafia is an American hip hop group from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in 1991. Emerging as a horror-themed underground hip hop group, they would eventually go on to enjoy mainstream success. The group's 1995 debut album Mystic Stylez became an influential cult classic. They have released music on independent labels such as Prophet Entertainment and their own Hypnotize Minds label, as well as Relativity, Loud, and Columbia Records.
Bernard James Freeman, known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK, a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK, Bun B has released five solo albums, including 2010's Trill OG, which received the rare 5-mic rating from The Source.
Eric Garcia, professionally known by his stage name Evil E, is an American disc jockey. He's best known as the DJ for Ice-T, who brought him in to his production company Rhyme Syndicate in the mid-1980s. He is the brother of fellow rapper Henry "Hen-Gee" Garcia, with whom he formed the duo Spinmasters.

Torence Ivy Hatch Jr., better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie, is an American rapper. Hatch began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the Southern hip hop collective Concentration Camp, eventually pursuing a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album Youngest of da Camp. After leaving the label the following year, he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release his second studio album, For My Thugz (2002). One of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop, Hatch has gone on to release thirteen solo studio albums, as well as seven collaborative albums and 44 mixtapes.
Cedric Kelvin Coleman, professionally known by his stage name Frayser Boy, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He was formerly signed to Hypnotize Minds, the record label run by Three 6 Mafia founders DJ Paul and Juicy J, and had released three studio albums under the label: Gone on That Bay (2003), Me Being Me (2005), and Da Key (2008). At the 78th Academy Awards, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" along with Three 6 Mafia members Juicy J, Crunchy Black, and DJ Paul.
Aaron Ocosice Phillip, better known by his stage name Afu-Ra, is an American underground rapper. A member of the Gang Starr Foundation, he has worked closely with its members, including Gang Starr, Jeru the Damaja, Big Shug and Group Home.
Murderers & Robbers is the first compilation album by American rapper Project Pat. It was released on July 25, 2000, through Project Records with distribution via Street Level LLC. Labeled as an "underground album", it is mainly a compilation of the rapper's mixtape material from the early 1990s before a prison sentence interrupted his career, similar to Three 6 Mafia's Underground series of compilation albums released from 1999 to 2000.
Get Crunk, Who U Wit: Da Album is the debut studio album by American Southern hip hop group Lil' Jon & The East Side Boyz. It was released on October 21, 1997, via Mirror Image Entertainment. Recording sessions took place at Entertainment International Studios, Purple Dragon Studios and KALA Studios in Atlanta. Prophet Entertainment, known by the stage name Prophet Posse, is an independent record label based in Memphis, Tennessee, formerly owned by DJ Paul and Juicy J with Nick Scarfo. From 1991 to 1994 it launched new independent musical artists linked mainly to the strands of American music such as crunk, hip hop, gangsta rap, Southern hip hop and horrorcore. As of 2009, the label is assumed defunct.
Rowdy Lewayne Williams, better known as Ganxsta NIP, is a rapper from South Park, Houston, Texas and a member of the South Park Coalition, which he co-founded in 1987 with Houston rapper K-Rino. In 1992 he released his debut album South Park Psycho. This record also helped put the South Park Coalition name on the map due to world wide distribution from Rap-a-Lot. He also wrote the Geto Boys hit "Chuckie". NIP stands for "Nation of Islam Is Powerful"; he is also a part of the Nation of Islam. Williams is also looked at as one of the creators of the horrorcore rap genre.

His 2010 follow-up single, "No Hands" reached number 13 on the chart and received diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Both songs, along with "Hard in da Paint" and "Grove St. Party" preceded the release of his debut studio album Flockaveli (2010), which peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. His second studio album, Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family (2012) peaked at number ten on the chart was preceded by the lead singles "Round of Applause" and "Get Low".

The album debuted at number 4 on the US Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 61,450 copies; it has sold an estimated 169,500 copies as of the week ending of August 21, 2011.
Playa Fly is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Pursuing a solo career as Playa Fly, he released one independent album before signing a three-album contract with Super Sigg Records. During that period he had many underground hits, perhaps the most famous being "Nobody Needs Nobody". Fly's early hit immediately gained notoriety from the song "Triple Bitch Mafia", which lashed out against his former group.
Ricky Terrell Dunigan, better known by his stage name Lord Infamous, was an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He was the half brother of DJ Paul and one of the co-founders of Three 6 Mafia. His lyrics touched on macabre subjects such as Satanism, mass murder, and torture, along with more traditional themes such as sex and drug use.
Robert Cooper Phillips, better known by his stage name Koopsta Knicca or simply Koopsta, was an American rapper. He was best known as one of the members of the Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia and its related Hypnotize Camp Posse and Prophet Posse. He was also a member of the subgroup collective Da Mafia 6ix.
Seed of 6ix is a Memphis, Tennessee rap group composed of Locodunit and Lil Infamous, who are the nephews of the co-founder of hip hop group Three 6 Mafia, DJ Paul. Lil Infamous is also the son of former co-founder Lord Infamous.
Raider Klan was an American hip hop collective formed in the Carol City neighborhood of Miami Gardens, in 2008. It grew to include members from other U.S. cities, such as Memphis, Seattle (Thraxxhouse), and Houston. They are widely regarded by fans, critics, and fellow artists as one of the most influential hip hop movements of the 2010s. In 2012, the Guardian cited them as one of the key acts bringing back hip hop groups.
