The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) is an annual film festival held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Founded in 2012 by Sandra Seeling Lipski, EMIFF operates also in conjunction with a sister-screening event in Hollywood, highlighting the previous year's winners.

The Ariel Award is an award that recognizes the best of Mexican cinema. Given annually, since 1946, by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC), the award recognizes artistical and technical excellence in the Mexican film industry. The purpose of the Ariel recognition is to stimulate and increase the excellence of Mexican cinema, favor the growth of the industry, and promote the meeting and strengthening of the national film community. It is regarded as the most prestigious award in the Mexican film industry and considered Mexico's equivalent to the Oscars of the United States.
Isabel Coixet Castillo is a Spanish film director. She is one of the most prolific film directors of contemporary Spain, having directed twelve feature-length films since the beginning of her film career in 1988, in addition to documentary films, shorts, and commercials. Her films depart from the traditional national cinema of Spain, and help to “untangle films from their national context ... clearing the path for thinking about national film from different perspectives.” The recurring themes of “emotions, feelings, and existential conflict” coupled with her distinct visual style secure the “multifaceted ” filmmaker's status as a “Catalan auteur.”
Fernando León de Aranoa is a Spanish screenwriter and film director.
Chilean cinema refers to all films produced in Chile or made by Chileans. It had its origins at the start of the 20th century with the first Chilean film screening in 1902 and the first Chilean feature film appearing in 1910. The oldest surviving feature is El Húsar de la Muerte (1925), and the last silent film was Patrullas de Avanzada (1931). The Chilean film industry struggled in the late 1940s and in the 1950s, despite some box-office successes such as El Diamante de Maharajá. The 1960s saw the development of the "New Chilean Cinema", with films like Three Sad Tigers (1968), Jackal of Nahueltoro (1969) and Valparaíso mi amor (1969). After the 1973 military coup, film production was low, with many filmmakers working in exile. It increased after the end of the Pinochet regime in 1989, with occasional critical and/or popular successes such as Johnny cien pesos (1993), Historias de Fútbol (1997) and Gringuito (1998).
Antonio Escobar Núñez is a Spanish musical artist who has won awards during his career as a music producer, mixing engineer, sound designer and composer for advertising, film, TV and recording artists. Escobar's music features rock, electronica, pop, dance, urban, Latin and orchestral influences.
Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre (BARS) is an international film festival devoted to the genres of science fiction, horror and fantasy. It began in 2000 with a focus on independent films in those genres, and since 2004 in the form of a competitive festival, Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre is well attended with over 200 films shown and 12.000 public and industry admissions each year. BARS is declared of national interest by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts, sponsored by the Film Museum of the City of Buenos Aires and declared of cultural interest by the legislature of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires.
The Ibero-American Festival of Short films ABC (FIBABC) (Spanish: Festival Iberoamericano de Cortometrajes ABC (FIBABC)) has its origins in the 2009 when the journalists and film makers, helmed by Pedro Touceda Fernandez and supported by the Spanish ABC with the Community of Madrid and Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences (AACCE) set up an international cinematographic festival of short films. The FIBABC takes place every year between 5 September – 25 November.
Desire Street is a 2011 comedy-drama film written and directed by Roberto F. Canuto and Xu Xiaoxi. The film features an ensemble cast including Alejandra Walker, Javier Lopez, Ellen Clifford, Kjord Davis, Jesus Guevara and Alexandra Smothers, with Charles Wells, Tyler Vincent, Roman Marshanski, Kay Hand, Gavin Fonseca and Sassoun Hagopian in supporting roles. Revolving around an eccentric and dysfunctional Mexican immigrant family living in Los Angeles, the film is divided into three parts, each one with a story reflecting a family member and the relationship that they establish with a new neighbor, a prostitute named Lucy Bell.
Roberto Fernandez Canuto is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He belongs to a new generation of filmmakers from Spain with learning or working experiences internationally and with multicultural influences. Roberto F. Canuto is one of the first European directors to establish stable collaborations within the Chinese industry. Since 2010 he co-directs all his films with the Chinese director Xu Xiaoxi and together open a film production company in China, Almost Red Productions.

The Bookshop is a 2017 drama film written and directed by Isabel Coixet, based on the 1978 novel of the same name by Penelope Fitzgerald, in which the lead character attempts against opposition to open a bookshop in the coastal town of Hardborough, Suffolk. Shooting took place in Portaferry and Strangford, County Down, Northern Ireland and in Barcelona during August and September 2016.
The Macondo Awards are given by the Colombian Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences to honor achievement in Colombian cinema.
They Will All Die in Space is a 2015 English-language Spanish short science-fiction horror film written, directed and produced by Javier Chillon, about a starship technician who is awoken from cryo-sleep and is told that the vessel is adrift and lost in the cosmos, and that he is needed to help repair the communications system to call for help, but quickly realises that something has gone horrifyingly wrong. Chillon's third short film was shown at well over 300 film festivals between 2015 and the end of 2019, and has won approximately sixty awards and honours, including Best Short Film from the 2015 Sitges Film Festival, the most important fantastic film festival in Spain.
Sandra Hermida Muñiz is a Spanish film producer and production manager. She has produced more than 30 domestic and international films, such as The Impatient Alchemist (2002), The Orphanage (2007), The Impossible (2012), and A Monster Calls (2016).
Luz also known as Luz: The Flower of Evil or Luz, la flor del mal is a 2019 fantasy-western horror film written and directed by Juan Diego Escobar Alzate starring Yuri Vargas. In October 2019 it was part of Official Fantastic Competition at the SITGES Fantastic Film Festival in Spain. The film has been selected in numerous international film festivals like Glasgow Film Festival, Nocturna Madrid, Almería Western Film Festival, Montevideo Fantastic, Fantaspoa, Peruvian Insólito, Sombra and Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre in which the film was winner for best Iberoamerican film, Best Photography, Best editing, Best acting for Yuri Vargas. Luz: The Flower of Evil also won the Silver Skull Award at the Morbido Film Fest in Mexico, where it had its Latin American Premiere.

Mabel Lozano is a Spanish writer, model, film director, film and television actress and activist in defense of women's rights. In her work she denounces the sexual exploitation of women through prostitution and trafficking. In 2021 she received the Goya Award for best documentary short film for Biografía del cadáver de una mujer.
Caracas Ibero-American Film Festival is a Venezuelan film festival. It was initially created in 2003 with the purpose of promoting Ibero-American cinema, with emphasis on first movies. Subsequently, in 2021 it restarted its activities again.
