Ezekiel Machogu Ombaki (born 1 January 1956) is a Kenyan politician who served as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Education after being nominated by President William Ruto.
Ombaki attended Nduru High School and later completed his O-levels at Agoro Sare Secondary School in 1975. From 1976 to 1979 he attended the University of Nairobi where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. [1] [2]
Ombaki started his career in the office of the president as a District Officer, where he worked from 1976 to 1979. He later became a District Commissioner, an office he left in 2008. He served as a Senior Deputy Secretary in the public service commission until 2016. In 2017 he entered the National Assembly as a Member of Parliament from Nyaribari Masaba Constituency. [3] [4] Ombaki was a member of the Committee on Regional Integration and the Members Services and Facilities Committee while in Parliament. [5]
Nicholas Kipyator Kiprono arap Biwott was a Kenyan businessman, politician, and philanthropist, who worked in the governments of the fathers of Kenyan independence, Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi. He held eight senior civil servant and ministerial positions that included Minister of State (1979–82), Minister of Energy (1963), Minister of East African and Regional Co-operation (1998–99) and Minister of Regional Development, Science, and Technology (1982).

Jamhuri Day is a national holiday in Kenya, celebrated on 12 December each year. Jamhuri is the Swahili word for "republic" and the holiday officially marks the date when Kenya became an independent country on 12 December 1963, six months and eleven days after gaining internal self-rule on 1 June 1963 from the United Kingdom.
