The 1993 Ukrainian Cup Final is a football match that took place at the Republican Stadium on May 30, 1993. The match was the second final of national cup competition and it was contested by FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Karpaty Lviv. The 1993 Ukrainian Cup Final was also the second to be held in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Dynamo won the match 2:1 with goals from Viktor Leonenko and the former Karpaty player Dmytro Topchiyev.

FC Lada Chernivtsi was a Ukrainian football club from Chernivtsi, Chernivtsi Oblast.

Oleg Ioilevich Kokushkin was a Red Army lieutenant colonel and posthumous Hero of the Soviet Union. Kokushkin joined the Red Army in 1931 and became a political commissar. Kokushkin fought in the Battle of Kiev (1941), the Battle of Moscow, and the Battle of Stalingrad. In November 1942 he was sent to the "Vystrel" courses and after completing the course became commander of the 3rd Guards Airborne Division's 8th Guards Airborne Regiment. Kokushkin led the regiment in the Battle of Kursk, Operation Kutuzov and the Chernigov-Pripyat Offensive. He was killed in action when a German bomb struck his command post. Kokushkin was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for his leadership of the regiment.

Stroitel Football Club Pripyat, also known as Budivelnyk Football Club Pripyat was a Soviet and Ukrainian football club (team) from Pripyat, Kyiv Oblast. Founded in the 1970s, it competed only at republican level competitions in Ukraine. Before the Chernobyl disaster the team was playing at a small stadium in Pripyat. In 1986, a new home ground, the Avanhard Stadium was built but never used due to the disaster.

Avanhard Stadium is an abandoned football stadium in Pripyat, Ukraine. It was built to become the home ground of FC Stroitel Pripyat. Due to the Chernobyl disaster it was never realized. It was named, like several other grounds, after the Ukrainian sports society trade union. The town of Pripyat was evacuated following the Chernobyl disaster on 26 April 1986, which occurred a few kilometers away.
