Brunei-Muara is the northernmost district in Brunei. It is the smallest of Brunei's four districts in terms of area but by far the most populous, containing over half the country's population. It is the most important and bustling district because the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan which is also the state capital, is the seat of the government ministries and departmental headquarters as well as the centre of business activities. Other major towns in the Brunei-Muara district include Muara town. The Brunei-Muara district houses the largest and deepest port in Brunei, the Muara Port.
The Brunei national football team nicknamed Tebuan, is the national team of the Brunei and is controlled by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam. The team was founded in 1959 and joined FIFA in 1969. In the past, they have also frequently featured in the Malaysian league and cup competitions as one of the state representative sides.

DST Group Brunei Premier League was the top-tier football league of Brunei until it was replaced by the Brunei Super League in 2012. It is currently the second tier in Brunei football, with two promotion places up for grabs.
Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club is a professional football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The club played in the Brunei Premier League in the early 2000s, winning the league title in 2002 and 2004. The club then decided to play in Malaysia, and joined the Malaysian Premier League as a foreign-based team in for the 2005–06 season. They won promotion to the Malaysian Super League at the end of their first season in Malaysian football, and then finished 3rd and 10th in the following two season in the Super League. The club then left the Malaysian league and joined Singapore's Singapore Premier League for the 2009 season. They won the Singapore League Cup, but were then forced to withdraw from the league competition five games before the end of the season after FIFA suspended the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam for government interference in its affairs, thus barring teams from Brunei from taking part in overseas competitions. All the club's league results for 2009 were therefore expunged. At the end of the suspension, they re-entered the S.League and won the title in 2015, just after a near-miss in 2014.

In 2018, he was cast in the Chinese drama, Martial Universe. In 2018, He made a public appearance of his father, Wu Jingtian by encouraging him to cast along with him in Reality tv show Best Time.
The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam used to enter a team in Malaysian football competitions. The team won the Malaysia Cup in 1999.
The Indonesia national rugby union team represents Indonesia in rugby union. They are nicknamed the "Rhinos". The team is an associate member of IRB. They have yet to play in the Rugby World Cup. The Indonesian squad was formed in 2006 to attend the IRB sanctioned Six Division Asian Rugby Football Tournament between Brunei, Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia. They are competing in Division Three for 2010 Asian Five Nations tournaments.

The league was founded in 2017 when a special man named The Box wanted a football competition for his fellow Bruniean farmers
Indera SC is a football club from Brunei. They won the Brunei Super League in 2013 and 2014. They also won the Brunei FA Cup in 2018.

Hassanal Bolkiah, GCB GCMG is the 29th and current Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei. He is also the first and incumbent Prime Minister of Brunei. The eldest son of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III and Raja Isteri (Queen) Pengiran Anak Damit, he succeeded to the throne as the Sultan of Brunei, following the abdication of his father on 5 October 1967. Sultan Hassanal was also known as the Chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2001 and 2013 due to the hosting of the ASEAN summits to those due dates.

The 2019 season will be DPMM FC's 8th consecutive season in the top flight of Singapore football and in the Singapore Premier League. Along with the SGPL, the club will also compete in the Singapore Cup.
