The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 took place 18 February – 1 March 2009 in Liberec, Czech Republic. This was the fourth time these championships were hosted either in the Czech Republic or in Czechoslovakia, having done so at Janské Lázně (1925) and Vysoké Tatry.
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 took place between 20 February and 3 March 2013 in Val di Fiemme, Italy, for the third time, the event having been hosted there previously in 1991 and 2003.
The FIS Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships 2016 took place in Râșnov, Romania from 22 February to 28 February 2016. It was the 39th Junior World Championships and the 11th Under-23 World Championships in nordic skiing.
The FIS Ski Tour 2020 was a cross-country skiing competition held as a part of the 2019–20 FIS Cross-Country World Cup. This stage event took place in Sweden and Norway, on ski resorts well-known from other skiing disciplines like alpine skiing or biathlon. The tour began in Östersund, Sweden on 15 February 2020 and concluded with the pursuit stage in Trondheim, Norway, on 23 February 2020. It consisted six stages, which were awarded with reduced number of World Cup points. For the overall standings they received three times the World Cup points compared to a regular individual World Cup event.
The 2022–23 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the 44th World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 26th official World Cup season in ski flying, and the 12th World Cup season for women. The men's season started in November in Wisła, Poland and will conclude in April in Planica, Slovenia. The women's season started also in Wisła and will conclude in March in Lahti, Finland.
The 2022/23 FIS Nordic Combined World Cup, organized by the International Ski Federation is the 40th Nordic Combined World Cup season for men, and the 3rd season for women. The men's competition started in Ruka, Finland and will concluded in Lahti, Finland. The women's competition will start in Lillehammer, Norway and will concluded in Oslo, Norway.
The 2022/23 FIS Cross-Country World Cup, organized by the International Ski Federation is the 42nd World Cup in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 25 November 2022 in Ruka, Finland and will conclude on 26 March 2023 in Lahti, Finland.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural season launched in January 1967, and the 2022–23 season marks the 57th consecutive year for the FIS World Cup.

The season started on 21 October 2022 in Chur, Switzerland and will concluded on 25 March 2023 in Silvaplana, Switzerland. This season included six disciplines: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air.

The season started on 22 October 2022 in Chur, Switzerland and will concluded on 26 March 2023 in Silvaplana, Switzerland. This season included six disciplines: parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air.
The Women's Downhill World Cup 2022/2023 is currently scheduled to consist of nine events, including the final. The original schedule called for eleven events, but the first two races of the season scheduled for 5 and 6 November 2022 in Zermatt/Cervinia were canceled due to adverse weather conditions; the FIS decided not to reschedule them. Once the season began, a downhill scheduled in St. Anton on 14 January had to be converted into a Super-G due to the inability to hold a pre-race training run on either of the two days prior to the downhill. However, a subsequent Super-G scheduled at Cortina d'Ampezzo was converted into a downhill, restoring the original schedule.
The Women's Super-G World Cup 2022/2023 is currently scheduled to include 8 events, including the final. The original schedule called for 9 events, but a scheduled downhill at St. Anton on 14 January was converted to a Super-G due to the inability to hold pre-race practice runs on either of the two days prior to the event. A later Super-G at Cortina was converted into a downhill to restore the original schedule balance, but then a downhill at Crans Montana on 25 February had to be delayed a day due to fog and dangerous course conditions, and the Super-G previously scheduled for that day was cancelled and not rescheduled.
The Women's Giant Slalom World Cup 2022/2023 is currently scheduled to include 10 events, including the final. The season was scheduled to open in Sölden, Austria on 22 October 2022, but the race was cancelled due to bad weather and rescheduled to Semmering, Austria on 27 December.
The Women's Slalom World Cup 2022/2023 is currently scheduled to consist of 11 events, including the final. The original schedule called for 11 events, but a night slalom at Zagreb on 5 January was cancelled due to high winds and warm weather and not immediately rescheduled. However, a week later, the race was rescheduled as a second slalom at Špindlerův Mlýn on 28 January, accompanied by a shift of the giant slalom scheduled there that day to Kronplatz on 25 January.
The Men's Downhill World Cup 2022/2023 is currently scheduled to consist of eleven events, including the final. The season had been planned with fourteen downhills, but two scheduled downhills on 29/30 October 2022 on the Matterhorn, running from Switzerland into Italy, were cancelled due to lack of snow and not rescheduled. Later in the season, a downhill scheduled for Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 28 January 2023 was also cancelled for lack of snow and not rescheduled.
The Men's Giant Slalom World Cup 2022/2023 is scheduled to consist of ten events including the final. Marco Odermatt of Switzerland opened over a 100-point lead in the discipline by winning four of the first five races and finishing third in the other, although he then missed a race due to injury.
The Women's Downhill World Cup 2018/2019 involved eight events, including the season finals in Soldeu, Andorra. Defending discipline champion Sofia Goggia of Italy fractured her ankle prior to the start of the season and missed five of the eight events, ending her chances to repeat. In addition, 2018 runner-up Lindsey Vonn of the USA, who had closed the prior season by winning all of the final four downhills and needed only four more victories to equal Ingemar Stenmark's all-time World Cup victory record, began the season injured and announced her planned retirement at the end of the season, but was hampered during her comeback by her cumulative injuries, and finally retired immediately after the conclusion of the 2019 World Ski Championships.
