Fabiana Berto (born 23 January 1976) is a retired Brazilian female volleyball player, who played as a setter. [1] [2] [3]
She was part of the Brazil women's national volleyball team at the 2001 FIVB World Grand Prix and 2002 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Germany. [4] On club level she played with Club Atlético Estudiantes de Paraná.[ citation needed ]
The Brazil women's national volleyball team is administered by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol (CBV) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. It is ranked second in the FIVB World Rankings as of August 2021. They are the current record holder of FIVB World Grand Prix champion titles, having won it for the eleventh time in 2016 and are the gold medalists of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The team also got a gold four times in the Pan American Games, and three other Olympic medals, the latest a silver in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Sheilla Tavares de Castro is a former volleyball player from Brazil who represented her native country at the 2008 Summer Olympics and in the 2012 Summer Olympics. On both occasions the Brazilian national team won the gold medal. She also played the 2016 Summer Olympics, when Brazil placed fifth. She retired on April 9, 2022.
