Giving the album three and a half stars from CCM Magazine , Matt Conner wrote, "The tender acoustic set should please both Kutless fans who see a softer side as well as AC listeners". Kutless is the debut album of Christian rock group, Kutless, released July 16th, 2002. The songs "Run" and "Your Touch" both reached No. 1 song on ChristianRock.net, and "Tonight" was in the Top 5. The album reached The Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums chart peaking at No. 48. The album also reached the Billboard Christian Albums chart peaking at No. 27. It is the only Kutless album to feature bassist Nathan Stuart, who left the band shortly after its release.
Strong Tower is a worship album released by the Christian rock group Kutless and is also their third studio album. An enhanced deluxe edition of this album was released on March 20, 2007, with additional tracks and the "Strong Tower" live music video. The title track of this record, "Strong Tower", was once in the Top 5 on ChristianRock.net. The album peaked at No. 87 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the Billboard Christian Albums. Hearts of the Innocent is the fourth album released by the Christian rock band Kutless. A special edition of this album was also released. It included a DVD with all seven of the band's music videos, as well as four bonus acoustic tracks added to the CD. The song "Shut Me Out" was once in the top 5 on ChristianRock.net, and "Somewhere in the Sky" was the 16th most requested song. This is their first record to feature bass player Dave Leutkenhoelter and drummer Jeff Gilbert. It is also the last studio album to feature original guitarist Ryan Shrout, though their live album Live from Portland was his last record of any kind released with the band. Jon Micah Sumrall is an American musical performer and lead vocalist of the Christian rock band Kutless. He occasionally plays acoustic guitar and piano for the band as well. Sumrall has been a member of Kutless since he started the band with James Mead and Ryan Shrout in 2001. It began as the worship band, Call Box, while Sumrall was still in college. He released Faith & Family, with BEC Recordings, in 2015. He is the band's only remaining founding member and one of two members to appear on every album, the other being rhythm guitarist James Mead.
Live from Portland is the first live album by the Christian rock band Kutless. It was released on December 5, 2006. It was recorded on March 16, 2006, in the band's hometown of Portland, Oregon. The album comes with a CD of the concert's audio, and a DVD with the concert itself. The DVD is slightly longer than the CD, including drum solos from drummer Jeffrey Gilbert. The DVD also contains the band's music video for "Shut Me Out", and a documentary about the show and the band being on tour. This is the band's last release with longtime guitarist Ryan Shrout, though his last studio album with them was Hearts of the Innocent.
To Know That You're Alive is the fifth full-length studio album by the Christian rock band Kutless. It was released on June 24, 2008. It is their first album to feature guitarist Nick DePartee, who took over the position after long-time member Ryan Shrout left the band in May 2007. The album debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard 200 album chart and stayed on the chart for six weeks. The album reached The Billboard Christian Albums chart peaking at No. 1, where it stayed for 27 weeks. The album's first rock single, "The Feeling", hit No. 11 on ChristianRock.net in its first week.
