The Falkland Islands national badminton team represents Falkland Islands in international badminton team competitions. [1] The Falkland Islands women's team participated in the Pan American Badminton Championships in 2020 and finished in 7th place after losing the 6th place playoffs to Peru.

The Falkland Islands made their Commonwealth badminton debut in the 2014 Commonwealth Games when three representatives were selected to compete in the men's singles and doubles discipline.

The Badminton Pan Am (BPA) organisation is the governing body for the sport of badminton in the Americas and is recognized as such by the Badminton World Federation - BWF. It was founded as a continental governing body on February 13, 1976 in the headquarters of the Mexican Olympic Committee in Mexico City. The Pan American Badminton Confederation was founded by Badminton Canada, the Jamaica Badminton Association, Federacion Mexicana de Badminton, Comision Nacional de Badminton Peru and the United States Badminton Association. BPAC was founded in Mexico City in 1976 and had nominated Victor Jaramillo of Mexico as President until an official election was scheduled to take place at the first Pan Am Championships the following year. The first Badminton Pan Am Championships was held in Moncton, New Brunswick-Canada, in April 1977.

The badminton events at the 2010 Commonwealth Games were taking place at Siri Fort Sports Complex and Saket Sports Complex in New Delhi from 4–14 October 2010. The games featured six badminton events – singles and doubles for men and women, mixed doubles and mixed teams.

Michelle Li Canadian badminton player

Michelle Li is a Canadian badminton player from Markham, Ontario. Li is the 2014 Commonwealth Games champion and the first Canadian to win an individual gold medal in women's singles badminton at the Commonwealth Games. She has won gold in both singles and doubles at the Pan American Games, and won the singles and team event titles from the Pan American Badminton Championships. As a competitor for Ontario, Li also won singles, doubles, and mixed team titles at the 2011 Canada Winter Games.

Rebecca Pantaney is an English badminton player who won gold for England in the women's team event at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

The Falkland Islands was represented at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow by 25 athletes across three sports, badminton, shooting, and lawn bowls, the largest ever Falkland Islands squad to be sent to the Commonwealth Games.

The mixed team badminton event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games was held from July 24 to July 28 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

Jason Anthony Ho-Shue is a Canadian badminton player. He won the gold medal in the men's doubles at the 2019 Pan American Games, and at the Pan Am Championships in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. He also won the men's singles title at the Pan Am Championships in 2016.

Brittney Shannon Tam is a Canadian badminton player. In 2012, she won a silver medal at the Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships in the mixed doubles event. In 2016, she won the gold medal in the mixed team event at the Pan Am Badminton Championships. In the individual event, she won the gold medals in the women's singles and mixed doubles event. She competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

The XXIV 2020 Pan Am Badminton Championships is a continental championships tournament of badminton in Pan America. This tournament were held as two events in different countries. From 13 to 16 February, the team event was held in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. From 23 to 26 April, the individual event was planned to be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
