The film was released on 8 August 2013 on the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr and was a critical and commercial failure. However modern reception has been positive.
Shaji John, professionally credited by his stage name Kalabhavan Shajohn is an Indian actor, director and comedian who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan, Kochi. Making his debut in 1999 with My Dear Karadi and having made more than 90 appearances, he received a major breakthrough in his career with Drishyam (2013), in which he played a negative role. He made his directorial debut with Brother's Day starring Prithviraj. As of June 2021, he has starred in more than 130 Malayalam films.

Keerthy Suresh, Honey Rose, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Guinness Pakru play the other characters. The film was released on 12 April 2014 to positive response. The film was a commercial success at the box office.
Loham: The Yellow Metal is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Ranjith, and produced by Antony Perumbavoor for the production company Aashirvad Cinemas. The film, starring Mohanlal, Renji Panicker, Siddique, Andrea Jeremiah and Ajmal Ameer is about an elusive smuggling operation and the mysterious disappearance of 100 kilograms (220 lb) of gold. Sreevalsan J. Menon and C. Rajamani composed the soundtrack and film score, respectively.

The plot follows the encounters of Thomas, an Indian Revenue Service employee, who is fondly called Sherlock Toms due to his shrewd intelligence and keen observation skills. The film was inspired by hollywood flick Man on a Ledge. The film was released on 29 September 2017. Riyas KH also acted in this film.
Chalakkudikkaran Changathi is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Vinayan and written by Ummer Muhammed from a story by Vinayan. It stars Senthil Krishna, Honey Rose, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Salim Kumar. The film was inspired by the life story of Kalabhavan Mani.
My Santa is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama christmas film, directed by Sugeeth and written by Jemin Cyriac, starring Dileep, Manasvi Kottachi, Anaswara Rajan, Sunny Wayne, Anusree, Deva Nandha and Kalabhavan Shajohn. Ente Maathavu was an Indian Malayalam television series directed by Venu Chelakkottu. The show premiered on Surya TV and started streaming on Sun NXT on 27 January 2020. The show aired its last episode on 25 June 2022.
