FanGraphs.com is a website run by Fangraphs Inc., located in Arlington, Virginia, and created and owned by David Appelman that provides statistics for every player in Major League Baseball history. [2] [3]

On September 18, 2009, Fangraphs Inc. launched an iPhone app in partnership with Hawk Ridge Consulting, which has since been discontinued. [4] Fangraphs has a number of content partners including ESPN, SB Nation and Fanhouse.

Rob Neyer American sportswriter

Rob Neyer is a baseball writer known for his use of statistical analysis or sabermetrics. He started his career working for Bill James and STATS and then joined ESPN.com as a columnist and blogger from 1996 to 2011. He was National Baseball Editor for SB Nation from 2011 to 2014, and Senior Baseball Editor for FoxSports.com in 2015 and '16.

Javier Vázquez (baseball) Puerto Rican baseball player

Javier Carlos Vázquez is a Puerto Rican former Major League Baseball starting pitcher. He played for the Florida Marlins (2011), Atlanta Braves (2009), Chicago White Sox (2006–2008), Arizona Diamondbacks (2005), New York Yankees, and Montreal Expos (1998–2003).

Baseball Prospectus organization

Baseball Prospectus (BP) is an organization that publishes a website, BaseballProspectus.com, devoted to the sabermetric analysis of baseball. BP has a staff of regular columnists and provides advanced statistics as well as player and team performance projections on the site. Since 1996 the BP staff has also published a Baseball Prospectus annual as well as several other books devoted to baseball analysis and history.

Dayn Perry is an author and baseball journalist. He was also a special consultant for the San Diego Padres from 2001–2003.

Carson Cistulli American poet, essayist, and sabermetrician

Carson Cistulli is an American poet, essayist and baseball analyst for the Toronto Blue Jays. His works of poetry include Some Common Weaknesses Illustrated, Assorted Fictions, and A Century of Enthusiasm.

Joseph S. (Joe) Sheehan, born in New York City on February 26, 1971, graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Southern California in 1994, and lives in the New York City area. He is one of the founders and was a co-editor of the first annual book of sabermetric baseball forecasts and analyses by Baseball Prospectus in 1996 as well as several later volumes.

John Sickels is an American baseball writer who specializes in minor league baseball and amateur baseball.

Christina Kahrl American sportswriter

Christina Kahrl is one of the co-founders of Baseball Prospectus. She is the former executive editor of the think tank's website, BaseballProspectus.com, the former managing editor for their annual publication, and is currently writing and editing for ESPN.com. She is a member of the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

Will Carroll is an American sportswriter who specializes in the coverage of medical issues, including injuries and performance-enhancing drugs. Carroll's "Under the Knife" column appeared on Baseball Prospectus for eight years during his stint there as a senior writer, and he also contributed to the site's radio efforts as well as the Puck Prospectus spin-off site. He is the author of two books on sports-related medical topics..

In 1986, Ron Shandler began publishing the Baseball Forecaster, an annual publication focused on applying sabermetrics to fantasy baseball, and founder of Baseball HQ, a website with the same focus. Shandler has an MBA from Hofstra University.

Matthew J. Berry is an American writer, columnist, fantasy sports analyst, and television personality. Berry started as a writer for television and film and creating a few pilots and film scripts with his writing partner Eric Abrams with varying success. After beginning as a content writer for Rotoworld as a side-job, Berry launched his own fantasy sports websites "TalentedMr.Roto.com" in 2004 and "Rotopass.com" once the former took off. Berry’s websites were timed perfectly with the rise in fantasy popularity, as the internet aided in making fantasy more accessible. Berry has been employed at ESPN since 2007. He is their "Senior Fantasy Sports Analyst".

RotoWire

RotoWire.com is a company based in Madison, Wisconsin, U.S. that specializes in fantasy sports news and fantasy-style games. RotoWire provides fantasy news and information to ESPN.com, Yahoo! Sports, FoxSports.com, NFL.com, CBSSports.com, Sports Illustrated and Sirius XM Radio. RotoWire is the successor to RotoNews.com, which pioneered the concept of real-time fantasy sports information when launched in 1997.

John Perrotto is a sports journalist who has written for The Beaver County Times, Baseball Prospectus, and Basketball Prospectus. He is a member of the Baseball Writers' Association of America and thus one of the voters for the Baseball Hall of Fame and other annual Major League Baseball awards.

Dave Cameron is a baseball analyst for the San Diego Padres. He was formerly the managing editor and a senior writer for FanGraphs, and owner-operator of USS Mariner.

Starling Marte Dominican Republic baseball player

Starling Javier Marte is a Dominican professional baseball center fielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2012 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Marte is an MLB All-Star, and a two-time Gold Glove Award winner.

Nick Williams (baseball) baseball player

Billy Nicholas Williams, is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was drafted by the Texas Rangers, in the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. Williams made his major league debut in 2017.

Vince Velasquez baseball player

Vincent John Velasquez is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Houston Astros, who drafted him in the second round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. Velasquez made his MLB debut with the Astros in 2015, and was traded to the Phillies before the 2016 season.

Advanced metrics is the term for the empirical analysis of sports, particularly statistics that measure in-game productivity and efficiency. Advanced metrics were first employed in baseball by Bill James, a pioneer in the field who is considered the father and public face of the practice.

Framber Valdez is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). Valdez signed with the Astros as an international free agent in 2015. He made his MLB debut in 2018.
