Father Martin Cup

The Father Edgar Martin Basketball Invitational Tournament, better known as the Fr. Martin Cup, is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It gathers teams from various collegiate leagues, including the UAAP and NCAA, in a basketball tournament just before the start of the collegiate season. It was named after Fr. Edgar Martin, S.J., the former athletic moderator at the Ateneo de Manila University, and former Secretary-General of the Basketball Association of the Philippines. The tournament was established in 1994.

Tournament format

Its format consists of dividing the teams into 2 groups featuring single round robin elimination games among teams of the same group to determine the playoff teams. The playoffs feature a crossover format, with the top seeds of each group facing off against the 4th seed of their opposites and the 2nd seeds slugging it out with the opposite side’s 3rd seeds until a champion is determined.

The Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It is organized by Filoil EcoOil Sports. It gathers teams mainly from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), but also include some invited teams such as the RP Youth under-18 team and teams from other leagues, in a basketball tournament just before the start of the collegiate season.

Kiefer Isaac Crisologo Ravena is a Filipino professional basketball player for Shiga Lakes of the Japanese B.League. Ravena played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the UAAP during his college days. He plays the point guard position.

Marco Januz "Juno" Sauler is a basketball coach and former basketball player from the Philippines. He was a former head coach of the De La Salle University Green Archers, a collegiate team in the UAAP. Sauler is currently part of coaching staff of the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Robby Cruz Celiz is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Davao Occidental Tigers of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL). He was drafted 17th overall in the 2013 PBA draft by the Tropang Texters. Karl Dehesa Filipino-American basketball player

Karl Matthew Seson Dehesa is a Filipino-American professional basketball player who last played for the Phoenix Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 22nd overall in the 3rd round of the 2012 PBA draft by the Alaska Aces, but was left unsigned. He has since played in the ABL, PBA, the FIBA 3x3 Men's Pro Circuit, the PBA 3x3, and has represented the Philippines in national 3x3 competitions.

The NCAA Season 97 seniors' basketball tournament was the basketball tournaments of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) for its 2021–22 season. This were the first tournament since the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, and since 2019 after the planned 96th season cancelled because of the pandemic. Only the seniors' tournament for college students shall be held; the juniors' tournament for senior high school students last held in 2019 were still not held.
