Faycal Rherras (born 7 April 1993) is a professional footballer who plays full-back. Born in Belgium, he represented Morocco at international level.

Club career

Rherras signed for Heart of Midlothian in June 2016. [1] He scored his first goal for the club in a 3–3 draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 29 October 2016. [2] Rherras was released by Hearts during May 2017, [3] then signed for KV Mechelen. [4] He returned to Scottish football in January 2018, signing on loan for Hibernian. [5]

On 15 July 2019, Rherras signed a two-year contract with Qarabağ FK. [6] On 22 June 2020, Qarabağ announced that Rherras had left the club. [7]

After a spell in Morocco, Rherras signed for 1,5 years with Levski Sofia in Bulgaria. [8]

International career

He played for the Morocco national football team in a friendly match with Albania in August 2016, which ended in a goalless draw. [9]

The Qarabağ 2019–20 season was Qarabağ's 27th Azerbaijan Premier League season, of which they were defending champions, and was their twelfth season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. Qarabağ were crowned Champions for the 7th season in a row when the season was curtailed on 19 June, whilst they had reached the semi-finals of the Azerbaijan Cup when it was ended. In Europe, Qarabağ were knocked out of the Champions League by APOEL in the Third qualifying round, dropping into the Europa League where they finished 3rd in a group with Sevilla, APOEL and Dudelange.

The 2023–24 season is Qarabağ's 31st Azerbaijan Premier League season and their fifteenth season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. As well as the Azerbaijan Premier League, Qarabağ will also participate in the Azerbaijan Cup and the Champions League.
