The Fecto Group is a Pakistani company which was founded in 1952 by Ghulam Mohammad A. Fecto. [1]

History

The group was founded by Ghulam Mohammad A. Fecto. [1] He was born in 1922 in Jetpur in the British Indian state of Gujarat, into a Memon family. Fecto sold shoes out of a store he owned in Mumbai called Coronation Footwear. [3] After the partition of India he migrated to Dhaka and started a trading business dealing in electrical goods and home appliances, radios and TVs, wire and cable. [3]

It then moved to western Pakistan where it transitioned into manufacturing, securing the agency of tractors in 1975. The company continued to transition and at different points manufactured with two sugar mills, a tractor plant, cement plant, paper-sack and hardboard units. [1]

In 1981 Fecto Cement Ltd. was established and production commenced in 1990. [4] It is considered a small player in the domestic market holding a 1.3% market share. [5] [6]

It was the 17th season of the National T20 Cup, and started on 30 September 2020, and finished on 18 October 2020. Northern cricket team were the defending champions. The season featured an expanded format, with the number of matches increasing from 18 to 33. In July 2020, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the tournament would be held either in Multan or Rawalpindi. In August 2020, it was confirmed that the first leg will be played in Multan, and the final leg in Rawalpindi.

The 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan, from 25 October 2020 to 5 January 2021. Central Punjab cricket team were the defending champions. Central Punjab started their title defence poorly, with no wins from their first five matches. Despite being bottom in the table at the half-way point of the tournament, they won four of the next five matches to finish second in the table, advancing to the final with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The 2020–21 Pakistan Cup was a List A cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan from 8 January to 31 January 2021. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions after they beat Baluchistan. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams were formed.

The 2021–22 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 20 October to 29 December 2021. In September 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the fixtures for the tournament, with the full schedule being announced the following month. Central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions, after the final of the previous tournament finished in a tie.

The 2021–22 National T20 Cup was a Twenty20 domestic cricket competition that was played in Pakistan. It was the 18th season of the National T20 Cup, with the tournament starting on 23 September 2021, and finishing on 13 October 2021. In September 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the fixtures for the tournament. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions.

The 2022–23 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 27 September to 30 November 2022. In September 2022, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the fixtures for the tournament. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions but did not qualify for the final.
