Felix Howard (born January 14, 1973) [1] is a songwriter, record producer, A&R and publisher.

A former model as a child, Howard was photographed by Jamie Morgan and styled by the world renowned Ray Petri for the cover of The Face magazine. [2] In 1986, he was in the Madonna video "Open Your Heart", and also appeared in the Mantronix video for "Got to Have Your Love" [3] and in the Nick Kamen video for "Each Time You Break My Heart". In 1987, he was in the Sinitta video "Toy Boy".

His songwriting credits include working alongside Amy Winehouse, Sia, The Sugababes among many others. In 2007, he joined EMI Publishing as an A&R manager where he signed Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, MNEK, James Vincent McMorrow, Tinchy Stryder, Sam Sparro, Hurts, Beverley Knight, Tom Jones, and many others. In 2008, Felix Howard was made VP, A&R at EMI and in 2009 he was made head of A&R EMI UK and Europe Creative. [6] [7]

After leaving EMI before the Sony merger, he went on to consult for Daniel Lieberberg at Universal Records and was involved with the Klangkarussell album and signed Lewis Capaldi with Lieberberg. [8] [9]

Previously, Howard was Director of A&R for the US division of Budde Publishing in Los Angeles. [10] Howard worked at Method Management in an A&R role. [11] In December 2020, Howard joined BMG as Director A&R (New Recordings) in London, UK. [12] [13] At BMG, Howard has worked with Gabrielle, Ultra Nate, Katie Melua, Louis Tomlinson, [14] Zak Abel and Lady Blackbird. [15]

As a child, Howard had systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis and was a patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital under Barbara Ansell. [16] He has vitiligo and what he has called "a number of extremely tiresome and dull auto immune illnesses". [17] Howard has two children [18] and lives in London and California. In October 2021, Howard married actress/producer/writer Andrea Lewis. [19] He supports Chelsea FC.

It was re-released 10 January 2006 in the US, after the track "Breathe Me" became popular on alternative radio, following its feature as the closing song in the series finale of the HBO drama Six Feet Under. The album peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums Chart. "Breathe Me" was also featured in the television series, Bionic Woman.

"Overload" is the debut single of British girl group Sugababes. It was released on 11 September 2000 through London Records as the lead single from the group's debut studio album, One Touch (2000). It was co-produced and co-written by British songwriters and producers Paul Simm, Felix Howard, Jony Rockstar and Cameron McVey. The general theme of the song involves a teenage girl's crush towards a boy and her finding the situation difficult to manage.

Lady Croissant is a live album by Australian singer Sia, released in April 2007 through the record label Astralwerks. Called a "mini-album" by Astralwerks, the collection contains one studio recording ("Pictures") as well as eight live tracks recorded during an April 2006 concert at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Eight songs were written or co-written by Sia; also featured is a cover version of Ray Davies' song "I Go to Sleep", a studio recording of which later appeared on Sia's studio album Some People Have Real Problems (2008). The film covers British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse's life and her struggle with substance abuse, both before and after her career blossomed, and which eventually caused her death. In February 2015, a teaser trailer based on the life of Winehouse debuted at a pre-Grammys event. David Joseph, CEO of Universal Music UK, announced that the documentary titled Amy would be released later that year. He further stated: "About two years ago we decided to make a movie about her—her career and her life. It's a very complicated and tender movie. It tackles lots of things about family and media, fame, addiction, but most importantly, it captures the very heart of what she was about, which is an amazing person and a true musical genius."

<i>The Lost Tapes</i> (Sugababes album) 2022 studio album by Sugababes

The Lost Tapes is the eighth studio album by British girl group Sugababes and their first independent release. While work for the album dates back to 2011 when the original lineup reunited, the album remained unreleased until its 24 December 2022 digital release. The Lost Tapes is the second Sugababes album to feature the original lineup after 2000's One Touch. The deluxe version, which included an additional three tracks, was released digitally on 31 December 2022. The Lost Tapes debuted at number two on the UK Digital Albums chart and number 13 on the UK Independent Albums Chart. Following their one-off show at the O2 in September 2023, the album reached a new peak of number 7 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, as well as charting at number 23 on the Scottish Albums Chart.
