The women's team sabre event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on 3 August 2024 at the Grand Palais strip. [1] 24 fencers (eight teams of three) from eight nations competed. [2]

Qualification

A National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter a team of three fencers in the women's team sabre. These fencers also automatically qualified for the individual event. [2]

Competition format

The tournament was a single-elimination tournament, with classification matches for all places. Each match featured the three fencers on each team competing in a round-robin, with nine three-minute bouts to five points; the winning team was the one that reaches 45 total points first or was leading after the end of the nine bouts. [3]

The men's sabre was a competition in fencing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. A total of 39 men from 21 nations competed in this event. Nations had been limited to three fencers each since 1928. Competition took place in the Fencing Hall at the Helliniko Olympic Complex on August 14. The event was won by Aldo Montano of Italy, the nation's first victory in the men's sabre since 1920. Montano accomplished what his grandfather and father, both world champions in the individual event and Olympic medalists in the team competition, had not been able to: Olympic gold in the individual event. Zsolt Nemcsik of Hungary took silver while Vladislav Tretiak earned Ukraine's first medal in the event with his bronze. France's five-Games medal streak ended.

These are the results of the men's sabre team competition in fencing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. A total of 31 men from nine nations competed in this event. Competition took place in the Fencing Hall at the Helliniko Olympic Complex on August 19.

The competition was held from Tuesday July 16, 1924 to Thursday July 18, 1924. 47 fencers from 15 nations competed. Nations were limited to four fencers each, down from eight in 1920. The event was won by Sándor Pósta of Hungary, beginning a nine-Games streak in which Hungarians won the gold medal in the men's sabre. Roger Ducret of France took silver, while another Hungarian, János Garay, earned bronze.
