Kiambu is a town in Kiambu County,Kenya. It is 14 km (8.7 mi) from the capital Nairobi. It is the capital of the Kiambu County,which bounds the northern border of Nairobi. Other proximate towns are Ruiru,Gatundu,Limuru and Kabete.

Kikuyu Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of twelve constituencies in Kiambu County. The constituency was established for the 1963 elections. From 1988 elections to 2002 elections it was known as Kabete Constituency. With the new demarcation of constituencies by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC),the constituency was split into two and now we have Kikuyu Constituency and Kabete Constituency. The Current Member of Parliament for Kikuyu Constituency is Hon. Anthony Kimani Ichung'wa who was elected on The National Alliance Party (TNA) ticket. He is also the Vice - Chairman of the Public Investments Committee,Member of the committee of Powers and Privileges and equally a Member of the Departmental Committee on Agriculture,Livestock and Co-operatives in parliament. Kikuyu Constituency borders Kabete,Limuru,Westlands and Dagoreti Constituencies. The constituency had its name changed to Kabete Constituency before 2007 General Elections and Later in 2012 during the review of boundaries by the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC),the constituency was split into two,thereby creating Kikuyu and Kabete constituencies Respectively.
Kabete Constituency is one of twelve electoral constituencies within Kiambu County that neighbours Westlands Constituency in Nairobi County,Kenya. The constituency has a population of 140,427 and occupies an approximate area of 60.20 km2.
Dagoretti is an area in the western part of Nairobi,the capital of Kenya. It straddles the Nairobi and Kiambu County boundary with the Dagoretti Road Reserve marking the psychological border point heading Northerly and North-Easterly. Administratively it is one of eight divisions of Nairobi. The Dagoretti division is divided into six Locations. The former electoral Dagoretti Constituency had the same boundaries as the now defuct Dagoretti division.

William Kabogo Gitau is a Kenyan politician. He was the first and former governor of Kiambu County and a member of The National Alliance (TNA),one of the allied parties that merged to form The Jubilee Party.
Mbuvi Gideon Kioko, popularly known as Mike Sonko or simply Sonko,is a controversial Kenyan politician. He served as the second Governor of Nairobi. He was removed from the office of the governor by a form of impeachment by the Senate of the Republic of Kenya on Abuse of Office,Gross Misconduct and Crimes under National Law on 17 December 2020.
Juja is a town in Kiambu
County in Kenya. It is the home town for Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). It is also a constituency in Kiambu county,currently represented in parliament by Hon. George Koimburi following the demise of the late Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu. The MCA is Kalpesh Jayantilal Shah,who represents the people of Juja Ward at the County Government.

As Speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly,she replaced Alex Ole Magelo,who did not contest his seat. Immediately prior to her election,she was the Majority Whip in the Kenya Senate.
James Karanja Nyoro is an agricultural expert and economist trained at the University of Nairobi and London Wayne College. He became the third governor of Kiambu County after the impeachment of Ferdinand Waititu A.K.A Baba Yao. He worked as Managing Director at the Rockefeller Foundation before venturing into politics. In 2013,Nyoro ventured into politics and unsuccessfully contested for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat when he lost to former Kiambu governor William Kabogo. In 2016,Nyoro was appointed as an advisor to the government on matters of Agriculture and Policy. He was attached to the Deputy President's office. In the run-up to the 2017 polls,Nyoro declared interest to unseat the former governor Kabogo. He,however,dropped his bid in support of Governor Ferdinand Waititu after an agreement under the United for Kiambu Alliance.
