James Karanja Nyoro [1] is an agricultural expert and economist trained at the University of Nairobi and London Wayne College. He went to Ngenia Boys High in Limuru. He became the third governor [2] of Kiambu County [3] after the impeachment of Ferdinand Waititu A.K.A Baba Yao. He worked as Managing Director at the Rockefeller Foundation before venturing into politics. In 2013,Nyoro ventured into politics and unsuccessfully contested for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat when he lost to former Kiambu governor William Kabogo. In 2016,Nyoro was appointed as an advisor to the government on matters of Agriculture and Policy. He was attached to the Deputy President's office. In the run-up to the 2017 polls,Nyoro declared interest to unseat the former governor Kabogo. He,however,dropped his bid in support of Governor Ferdinand Waititu [4] after an agreement under the United for Kiambu Alliance.
The Kikuyu are a Bantu ethnic group native to East Africa Central Kenya. At a population of 8,148,668 as of 2019,they account for 17.13% of the total population of Kenya,making them Kenya's largest ethnic group.

The town is located on a hill surrounded by many farms and residences.
Charity Kaluki Ngilu is a Kenyan politician and the second governor elected for Kitui County. She unsuccessfully vied to be President of the Republic of Kenya in 1997. She served as Minister for Health from 2003 until 2007 and Minister of Water and Irrigation from April 2008 to 2013. Ferdinard Ndungu Waititu,also known as Baba Yao,is a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Kiambu County from 2016 to January 2020. He was impeached on corruption charges. His troubles started after it was learnt he was involved in a scheme of grabbing land from a widow worth over one million dollars amongst other fraudulent activities. He is currently awaiting trial for the mismanagement of county fund of over five million dollars. He also served as an assistant minister for Water Services and Irrigation in the government of Kenya.
Local elections were held in Kiambu County to elect a Governor and County Assembly on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general elections were the first in which Governors and members of the County Assemblies for the newly created counties were elected.

Dr. Machel Waikenda is a Kenyan politician and the former State House Director of Political Affairs. He was formerly the executive-committee member in charge of youth affairs,sports,and communications in the county government of Kiambu. Between April 2012 and August 2013,Waikenda was the communications director for The National Alliance,which through a merger with 13 other mainstream parties formed the Jubilee Party that brought the then sitting president Uhuru Kenyatta to his reelection in 2017.

Ndindi Nyoro,CBS,MP is a Kenyan politician,an entrepreneur and member of parliament (MP) for Kiharu Constituency,serving a second term. Ndindi belongs to United Democratic Alliance (UDA),a political party under the Kenya Kwanza alliance led by the current and fifth president of Kenya,Dr William Ruto. He is a graduate of Kenyatta University with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and was a student leader at the same university. Ndindi has been rated as among the best performing Members of Parliament in Kenya,and he is currently the Chairman of Budget and Appropriations Committee in the National Assembly. During Kenya's 59th Jamhuri Day,Ndindi was feted by President William Ruto with an honour of Chief of Burning Spear (CBS) for his exemplary development record in Kiharu constituency.
The 2022 Florida Commissioner of Agriculture election was held on November 8,2022,to elect the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. Incumbent Democratic Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried was eligible to run for a second term,but she instead ran for governor of Florida in 2022. Republican Wilton Simpson won the election with over 59% of the vote. Simpson's victory gave Republicans complete control of state government for the first time since Reconstruction.
