Fernando Sergio Hoces de la Guardia Molina (born 22 June 1949) is a retired Chilean athlete who specialised in the pole vault. He won several medals at continental level. [1]
His personal best in the event is 4.90 metres set in La Paz in 1981. This is a former national record. [2]

Ximena Restrepo Gaviria is a former Colombian nationalized Chilean sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres.
The men's marathon event at the 1928 Summer Olympics took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, 5 August 1928. The race started at 15:14 local time. A total number of 57 athletes completed the race, with Willem van der Steen from the Netherlands finishing in last position in 3:29:21. There were 69 competitors from 23 countries. Twelve of them did not finish. The maximum number of athletes per nation was 6. The event was won by Boughera El Ouafi of France, the nation's first Olympic marathon victory since 1900. Manuel Plaza's silver made him the first Olympic medalist from Chile, while Martti Marttelin's bronze put Finland on the podium in the event for the third straight Games.
The men's 110 metres hurdles was a track and field athletics event held as part of the Athletics at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. The competition was held on Thursday, July 11, 1912, and on Friday, July 12, 1912. 22 hurdlers from 10 nations competed. NOCs could enter up to 12 athletes. The event was won by Fred Kelly of the United States, the fifth of five consecutive victories for the nation in the first five Olympic Games. It was also the fourth of four consecutive podium sweeps for the Americans in the event.

He holds the Chilean national record for the indoor and outdoor 1500 metres, the indoor 3000 metres, the 10,000 metres, the half marathon and the marathon.
