Ffynnon-ddrain is a settlement in Carmarthenshire, Wales, one mile north-west of the town of Carmarthen, 24 miles north-west of the major city of Swansea, 56 miles north-west of Cardiff, and 182 miles west of London.

Llanfihangel Aberbythych is a community in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The population recorded at the 2011 census was 1,344. It is bordered by Llangathen, Llandeilo, Dyffryn Cennen, Llandybie, Gorslas and Llanarthney, all of which are in Carmarthenshire. There is no village of Llanfihangel Aberbythych – the name is taken from St Michael's Church, which dates from 1849, at Golden Grove, about 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Llandeilo. It now belongs to the Church in Wales parish of Catheiniog. Villages include Carmel and Maesybont.
Llangeler is a hamlet and community located in north Carmarthenshire, Wales. The name is believed to refer to St. Gelert. Llangeler parish covers a wide area including to the west, the textile village of Drefach Felindre, Waungilwen, Cwmpengraig and to the east, Pont Tyweli which adjoins Llandysul on the Carmarthenshire side of the River Teifi. The population of the parish was 3,222 at the Census of 2001, increasing to 3,427 at the 2011 census.

The Beacons Way is a waymarked long distance footpath in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Castell Moel is the remains of a 16th-century fortified manor house in the community of Llangain in Carmarthenshire, Wales, and also a medieval motte about 600 yards (550 m) to the south of the manor house. The remains are approximately 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-west Carmarthen and 0.8 miles (1.3 km) north-east of the village of Llangain. Three miles to the north-west is Carmarthen Castle, and five miles to the south-west is Llansteffan Castle.

It is based around the Afon Cwmmawr and Afon Dulais that join together in the heart of the hamlet, and meet the sea at Ffynnon Helyg at nearby Pwll. Welsh is the dominant language.
