Finality of Dusk is a Canadian comedy-drama film, directed by Madison Thomas and released in 2023. [1] Set in 2072, the film centres on Ishkode (Marika Sila) and Niife (Cherrel Holder), two women who team up for survival in a post-apocalyptic world where the air has been poisoned and people must wear filtration masks at all times.

The film also stars Chris Dodd as Odin, a deaf man who pursues the two women to steal their masks, as well as Meegwun Fairbrother, Joanna Hawkins, Jordan Wheeler, Maggie Koreen, Connor Ellis, Julia Davis, Keenai Jebb and Theresa Gotiongco in supporting roles.

The film was shot in rural Manitoba in 2021. [2] It made use of special sound design features to boost the filmgoing experience for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. [3]

The film premiered at the Red Nation Film Festival in Beverly Hills, California, on November 3, 2023, [1] and is slated to have its Canadian premiere in the Borsos Competition program at the 2023 Whistler Film Festival. [4]

The Borsos Competition is the main awards program for Canadian feature films screening at the annual Whistler Film Festival.
