The Finnish Formula Three Championship was a single seater motor racing series based in Finland. The championship used small Formula Three cars, designed to give drivers experience before moving to higher levels of motor racing. The Finnish Formula Three Championship ran from 1958 to 1960, 1984 to 1986 and 2000 to 2009, and for its final season in 2010 it became known as the Nordic F3 Masters.

Contents

An independent championship known as the Scandinavian & Nordic Formula Three Championship ran from 1984 to 1985 and 1992 to 2001.

Ahvenisto Race Circuit is a motor racing circuit located in Hämeenlinna, Finland. The circuit is 2.840 km (1.765 mi) long. It features a total elevation change of 32 metres (105 ft), its main straight is 0.280 km (0.174 mi) in length and its width varies between 9 and 17 metres . Its elevation changes, short or sometimes inexistent run-off areas, and numerous fast bends have led to some to suggest that it is the hardest and most dangerous race track in Finland, or even one of the most challenging in the world.

The FIA Formula Two Championship was a one-make class of auto racing for Formula Two open wheeled single seater racing cars. The championship was contested each year from 2009 to 2012. It was a revival of the former European Formula Two Championship that was previously run from 1967 to 1984. Organised by MotorSport Vision, drivers competed over 16 rounds at eight venues, in identical cars built by Williams Grand Prix Engineering, with 400 bhp engines developed by Mountune Racing and supplied by Audi.

Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport, formerly also known as Koiranen bros. Motorsport and Koiranen GP, is a Finnish auto racing team based in Lahti, Finland. The team currently fields a one car entry in the LMP3 class of Asian Le Mans Series and Prototype Cup Germany and also acts as a promoter of the Formula Academy Finland. Formerly the team was a promoter of the SMP F4 Championship from 2015 to 2018 and the F4 Spanish Championship from 2016 to 2017.
