Fintilect is a group of fintech companies owned by Parabellum Investments, comprising British software companies ieDigital and ABAKA, and the American financial services company Connect FSS. [2]
Its products use artificial intelligence to personalise banking interactions with customers according to their lifestyle and financial habits. [3]
ieDigital was founded as Intelligent Environments in 1985, initially working on home automation, [4] but later specialised in software for the financial services sector. [5] Its headquarters are in Kingston upon Thames, near London.
In 2010, through a reverse takeover with Documetric, [4] IE PLC grew and was delisted from the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). This acquisition was spearheaded by Rami Cassis, who founded the parent company Parabellum Investments, and remains a key figure at Fintilect. [3] [5]
It was rebranded as ieDigital in 2018. [4] [6]
ieDigital's main product is called "Interact", [7] a digital platform for banks and building societies. Past clients include global banks Lloyds and HSBC [8] and UK-based Dudley Building Society [9] and Darlington Building Society. [10]
In October 2023, ieDigital acquired Connect FSS, a US-based digital banking technology provider to credit unions, thus cementing its position as one of the largest global digital banking software providers. [11] In January 2024, ieDigital acquired ABAKA, a UK-based AI fintech software provider. [12] Fintilect was launched as a combined identity for these three companies in August 2024. [3]
