Alicante is a city and municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is the capital of the province of Alicante and a historic Mediterranean port. The population of the city was 337,482 as of 2020, the second-largest in Valencian Community.

Created in 1976 thanks to Eusebio Sempere, and reopened in 2011 after a major renovation, the museum now consists of three permanent collections of about 800 art pieces. The museum is located in Asegurada building, the oldest civil building remaining in the city.
The Barxell Castle, located in the municipality of Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, is a 13th-century medieval building which stands on a rocky mound in the middle of a pine forest. It is next to the CV-795 road, between Alcoy and Banyeres de Mariola. It is located in the rural place of Barxell at 800 metres altitude. It is very close to the "Solanetes" which had a small population in the Muslim era.
The Iglesia arciprestal de Santa María is a former Spanish church in Alcoy, province of Alicante. It was constructed in the 18th century at the convent of St. Augustine, which was built in the 13th century. In 1936, the building was demolished, losing almost all the pictorial heritage on its walls. The reconstruction began in 1940 and on 19 May 1955, the new church was blessed on the site where the older building had stood, matching its original appearance and using the remains of the previous building.
