Burlington is a city in Alamance and Guilford counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the principal city of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Alamance County, in which most of the city is located, and is a part of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point CSA. The population was 50,042 at the 2010 census, which makes Burlington the 17th largest city in North Carolina. The Metropolitan Statistical Area population was over 150,000 in 2010.

The former US Post Office, also known as the US Post Office/Federal Building, is an historic red brick post office building located at 430 South Spring Street in downtown Burlington, North Carolina. Built in 1936, it was designed in a mixture of the Classical Revival and Moderne or Art Deco styles by architect R. Stanley Brown who worked under Louis A. Simon, head of the Office of the Supervising Architect.
First Baptist Church is a historic Southern Baptist church located at 400 S. Broad Street in Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The church was built in 1922–1924, and is a two-story, brick Neoclassical Revival style church building with stone ornamentation. The front facade features an Ionic order hexastyle portico. The educational building was added in 1939 and a Sunday School and chapel wing in 1953.
Trinity Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located near Scotland Neck, Halifax County, North Carolina, United States. The congregation was founded in February 1833 by a number of prominent citizens including State Senator Simmons Baker. It was built in 1855, and is a rectangular Gothic Revival style brick building. Its design is attributed to noted New York architect Frank Wills. It has a gable roof, front central tower, and lancet windows. The church was rebuilt after it burned in 1885.

Main Street in Robersonville, North Carolina, Martin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a one-story, brick-veneered, Romanesque Revival building with a cross-gable facade. The front facade features three arched stained-glass windows and a two-story corner bell tower. Also on the property is a contributing church cemetery.
Oak City Christian Church, also known as Oak City Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, is a historic Christian Church (DOC) church located at 310 W. Commerce Street in Oak City, Martin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1921, and is a one-story, frame, weatherboarded, Gothic Revival style building. It features five lancet-arched stained-glass windows, a two-story bell tower with a broached hexagonal roof, and a hip-roofed porch.
First Presbyterian Church, also known as the Church of Christ, Scientist, is a historic Presbyterian church located at 111 W. Ash Street in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina. It was built in 1856, and is a one-story, stuccoed, temple form Greek Revival architecture style church. It features an in antis portico with Tuscan order columns and low pitched roof with a painted wooden cupola. In 1953, the building was sold to the Christian Science Society.

The Greensboro History Museum, consisting of the former First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro and Smith Memorial Building, is a historic museum building located at 130 Summit Ave. in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. The former Presbyterian church was built in 1892 on the site of a former Confederate hospital, and is a Romanesque Revival style brick building with a cross gable roof and tower. The semi-circular, 11 bay, Smith Memorial Building was built in 1903. It features four octagonal sides and a tower. The memorial building was designed by the architect Charles Christian Hook (1870-1938). The church and memorial building were connected and the older structures modified and renovated in 1938. Also located on the property is the First Presbyterian Church cemetery, established in 1831, after the first church was built on land that was donated by Jesse H. Lindsay. The church vacated the property in 1929, and in 1937-1938 it was renovated and enlarged as the Richardson Civic Center and donated to the city of Greensboro. It subsequently housed the Greensboro Public Library, the Greensboro Historical Museum, and the Greensboro Art Center. The historic building functions as one part of the current, larger Greenboro History Museum.

It was designed by architect Charles C. Hartmann and built in 1928–1929. It is a nine-story, steel-framed midrise in the Art Deco style. It features rich granite ornamentation at the bottom and top pairs of stories.
Efird Building is a historic commercial building located at Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built in 1919, and is a three-story, Gothic Revival style building. The front facade is sheathed in white enamelled terra cotta tile. It housed a branch of Efird's Department Store based in Albemarle, North Carolina.

East Davis Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. It encompasses 43 contributing buildings in a primarily residential section of Burlington. It includes single and multi-family dwellings, one commercial building and one church that were predominantly constructed from the 1880s to 1950. The buildings include representative examples of Queen Anne and Classical Revival style architecture.
Built in 1816, the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House is the oldest remaining place of worship established by settlers in Burlington, Vermont. It is located along the northern side of the intersection of Pearl Street and the Church Street Marketplace.
