The flag of Azania is the state flag of Azania, an autonomous region in southwestern Somalia. The flag of Azania was similar to the one that previously existed in Russia from 1991 to 1993. [1] [2] [3] [4] It differed only in the aspect ratio, 2:3 instead of 1:2.
There is no accurate and reliable information confirming which previous flag Azania had. However, it is known that on 13 March 2011, even before the official declaration of independence of state entity, the flag of Azania was established, completely identical to the current flag of Russia, in the center of which there is an elephant [5] (it existed until 25 March when the elephant emblem was removed). [6] There is also alleged information that the previous flag of Azania consisted of horizontal blue, red and green stripes and was similar to the flag of Azerbaijan. [7] It is a combination of the colors of the South West State of Somalia, although there is no reliable information in primary sources about the variants of this original flag (hinting at the intention to lead not three, but six provinces, including South West State).

The national flag of the United States, often referred to as the American flag or the U.S. flag, consists of thirteen horizontal stripes, alternating red and white, with a blue rectangle in the canton bearing fifty small, white, five-pointed stars arranged in nine offset horizontal rows, where rows of six stars alternate with rows of five stars. The flag of Missouri, often referred to as the Missouri flag, is the state flag of the U.S. state of Missouri. It consists of a triband of three equal horizontal stripes colored red, white, and blue, with the arms from the Great Seal of Missouri in the center. Designed by Mary Elizabeth Oliver, the red and white stripes represent valor and purity, respectively. The blue stripe represents the permanency, vigilance, and justice of the state. The Missouri flag was established on March 22, 1913, when governor Elliot Woolfolk Major signed the State flag act making it official.
The flag of Hawaii was first adopted in the early 19th century by the Hawaiian Kingdom and continued to be used after its overthrow in 1893. The flag of Thailand shows five horizontal stripes in the colours red, white, blue, white and red, with the central blue stripe being twice as wide as each of the other four. The design was adopted on 28 September 1917, according to the royal decree issued by Rama VI. Since 2016, that day is a national day of importance in Thailand celebrating the flag.
The national flag of the Argentine Republic, often referred to as the Argentine flag, is a triband, composed of three equally wide horizontal bands coloured light blue and white. There are multiple interpretations on the reasons for those colors. The flag was created by Manuel Belgrano, in line with the creation of the Cockade of Argentina, and was first raised at the city of Rosario on February 27, 1812, during the Argentine War of Independence. The National Flag Memorial was later built on the site. The First Triumvirate did not approve the use of the flag, but the Asamblea del Año XIII allowed the use of the flag as a war flag. It was the Congress of Tucumán which finally designated it as the national flag, in 1816. A yellow Sun of May was added to the center in 1818.
The flag of American Samoa consists of a red-edged white triangle pointing towards the hoist charged with a bald eagle clutching a war club and fly-whisk, with dark blue upper and lower triangles. Adopted in April 1960 to replace the "Stars and Stripes" as the official flag of the territory, it has been the flag of the Territory of American Samoa since that year. The colors used epitomize the traditional colors of the United States and Samoa.

The flag of the U.S. state of Colorado was officially adopted on June 5, 1911. The flag, designed by Andrew Carlisle Carson, consists of a fess design of three horizontal stripes of equal width, with the top and bottom stripes colored blue, and the middle stripe colored white. A circular red "C", filled with a golden disk, sits atop the stripes. All aspects of the flag contain symbolism related to the state, as the blue is meant to represent the sky, the gold the abundant sunshine the state receives, the white the snowcapped Rocky Mountains, and the red the "ruddy" earth. The state flag of Puntland, an autonomous state in northeastern Somalia, was adopted on 22 December 2009.

Using a rainbow flag as a symbol of LGBTQ pride began in San Francisco, California, but eventually became common at LGBTQ rights events worldwide.

Azania, officially the Republic of Azania, was a self-proclaimed autonomous state of Jubaland in southern Somalia that existed from 2011 to 2013. A group of Somali politicians proclaimed the creation of Azania on 3 April 2011 in Nairobi, with Mohamed Abdi Mohamed as its President. The state's main intentions were to contest al-Shabaab, which largely controlled Jubaland.
Hirshabelle, officially Hirshabelle State of Somalia, is a Federal Member State in south-central Somalia. It is bordered by Galmudug state of Somalia to the north, South West State of Somalia and Banadir region to the south, Ethiopia to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east. Jowhar is the capital state.

Flags may be in multiple flag families. Only twelve current national flags existed before the 19th century, when large-scale flag use began. Garad Yusuf Mohamud, also known as Garad Qowqabo, is a Somali politician who has served as the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Galmudug since December 2022 under Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Karie. He previously served as member of Galmudug Parliament from 2015 until 2020.
