Renette Pauline Soutendijk, known professionally as Renée Soutendijk, is a Dutch actress. A gymnast in her youth, Soutendijk began her acting career in the late 1970s. She was a favorite star of director Paul Verhoeven's films, and is perhaps best known for her work in his 1980 release Spetters and 1983's The Fourth Man. Her good looks and striking blond hair secured her status as a Dutch sex symbol in the 1980s.

Flodder is a 1986 Dutch comedy film written and directed by Dick Maas, and produced by First Floor Features. It is the first film in the Flodder franchise and is followed by two more films and a spin-off series. The film follows an anti-social, dysfunctional family who move to an affluent, upper-class neighbourhood as part of a social experiment which results in mayhem as the Flodder family refuses to adapt.
The Netherlands was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1956 with two songs: "De vogels van Holland", composed by Cor Lemaire, with lyrics by Annie M. G. Schmidt, and performed by Jetty Paerl; and "Voorgoed voorbij", written by Jelle de Vries, and performed by Corry Brokken. The Dutch participating broadcaster, Nederlandse Televisie Stichting (NTS), held a national final to select its two entries in the contest. "De vogels van Holland" was the first entry performed in the Eurovision Song Contest, so it was also the first entry from the Netherlands and the first entry in Dutch in the contest.

Flodder 3 is a 1995 Dutch comedy film directed by Dick Maas. It is the third and last film about the anti-social family, called 'Flodder'. The film is a continuation of the TV series and the previous two films. Different from the first two films, son Kees is now played by actor Stefan de Walle, and Johnnie Flodder is now played by Coen van Vrijberghe de Coningh, the same actor as in the TV series. It was the second most popular Dutch film of the year.

A self-taught actor, he was remarkable for his natural acting style at a time when more theatrical performances were the norm in The Netherlands. One of the first Dutch actors who managed to combine a stage and film career with a career on TV, radio and in commercials, he appeared in 47 films and television shows between 1936 and 2004, including Pension Hommeles (1957-1959), Ciske de Rat (1955), and Dokter Pulder zaait papavers (1975).

Rolf Wouters is a Dutch television presenter. Before his career as a television presenter, Wouters worked in advertising man and was actor in the film Flodder. Wouters has not been active on TV since 2005 and has lived in Portugal since then where he works as a farmer. On 1 November 2014 Wouters was featured in the anniversary program 25 Jaar RTL: Ik Hou Van RTL. On 27 January 2020 it was announced that Rolf Wouters is making a return to Dutch television after 14 years. From 2020 he presents for SBS6 the program Split Screen.
Monique Pauline Maria Josephine Toebosch, also known by the pseudonym Paul Rubens, was a Dutch actress, artist and musician. She began her performing career in 1969 and produced improvised music. Toebosch collaborated with Michel Waisvisz in multiple theatre productions and did solo productions before moving into the visual arts scene as an installation artist. She was a lecturer at the audiovisual department of Amsterdam's Gerrit Rietveld Academie; at ArtEZ University of Arts during the 1996–97 academic year; at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten from 1996 to 2000 and was director of the post-academic course DasArts (later the Master of Theatre of the Amsterdam University of the Arts from 2004 to 2007. She was a recipient of the Sandberg Prize and the Arti Medal of Arti et Amicitiae.
