The Florida State University College of Human Sciences is the human sciences school of the Florida State University. The College was established in 1918. [2] About 2,972 are enrolled in classes, including undergraduates, graduate students, and Ph.D.-seeking students.
The Department of Nutrition, Food and Exercise Sciences has the largest enrollment of pre-medical education students at FSU.[ citation needed ] It was also home to the now defunct "Housing" major, which was one of only four nationwide which focused on homes of all types as a product and how they impacted human health and behaviors.

Dr. Yun-Hwa Peggy Hsieh is a food scientist at Florida State University, where she serves as a Professor in the Department of Nutrition Food and Exercise Sciences. Her laboratory has successfully characterized several heat-stable muscle proteins as the species marker antigens for development of monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies are used as a probe for the detection of meat origin in heat-processed products. This research is important not only to discourage the illegal practices of meat adulteration on the retail market for consumer protection but also to prevent the spread of mad cow disease. She is an elected fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists and the International Academy of Food Science & Technology. She received her doctorate from Florida State University.

The BYU College of Life Sciences was originally named the College of Biology and Agriculture. It was formed in 1954 from the division of the College of Applied Science into this college and the College of Family Living, which was a partial predecessor of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences. While the Agronomy; Horticulture; Animal Husbandry; Industrial Arts and Drawing; and Bacteriology programs all came from the College of Applied Science the Botany; and Zoology and Entomology programs came from the College of Arts and Sciences. Thomas L. Martin was the first dean of the College of Biology and Agriculture. In 1954 the Agricultural Economics Department was moved from the College of Commerce to the College of Biology and Agriculture.
The University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is a public agricultural college at the University of Kentucky. The college was renamed the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment on July 1, 2013. The name change incorporates the college's expanded role that occurred with the merger of the College of Human Environmental Sciences into the College of Agriculture. The college's research, teaching and outreach programs encompass farms, forests, food, fiber, families and communities. On May 25, 2023, the college announced a $100-million gift from late University of Kentucky alum and former trustee Carol Martin “Bill” Gatton. The college subsequently announced it would be renamed the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment pending approval from the UK Board of Trustees. As of June 16, 2023, the college is officially renamed the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
