FlyOver in Las Vegas is a flying theater attraction and is the third FlyOver location operated by Pursuit, a subsidiary of Viad Corp. FlyOver in Las Vegas opened on September 1, 2021, on the Las Vegas Strip next to the Hard Rock Cafe on Las Vegas Boulevard South.
FlyOver is a flight ride experience where riders are suspended in front of a 52-foot spherical screen, riding on a platform with six degrees of motion. [1] The ride is designed to make you feel like you're flying in a helicopter over recognizable destinations such as the Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Zion National Park and Arches National Park. [2] The ride also includes special effects like wind, mist and location-specific scents. [3]
FlyOver in Las Vegas has two 40-seat theaters and a full-service bar, The Lost Cactus, which is accessible without a ticket and serves beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails and snacks. [2] FlyOver is available to guests of all ages. Children must be at least 40 inches tall to ride. [4]
In addition to the FlyOver film, guests can experience a six-minute panoramic pre-show, which was created by Moment Factory. The pre-show is projected on 360-degree wrap-around screens and a central hanging medallion. [5]
The construction of the attraction cost $40 to $45 million and consisted of converting the former United Artists movie theater and part of a Famous Footwear store into FlyOver. [6] [7] It took over a year and more than 100 hours of flight time with an actual helicopter to shoot all the video footage for FlyOver in Las Vegas's primary film, The Real Wild West. [2]
The creative director for FlyOver in Las Vegas is Rick Rothschild, a former Disney Imagineer. Rothschild spent 40 years with Disney, during which he was responsible for developing the flight motion attraction Soarin’. After retiring from Disney, Rothschild spent three years working with Dave Mossop, a Cannes Lion Award-winning film director, to develop the FlyOver attractions and films in both Iceland and Las Vegas. The first FlyOver location was opened in Vancouver, Canada in 2013 as FlyOver Canada and was later bought by Pursuit in December 2016. FlyOver Iceland, which is located in Reykjavik, Iceland, was opened in September 2019. [9] In July 2019, Pursuit announced plans to open another FlyOver location in Toronto, Canada. [10]
Soarin', also known as Soarin' Over California, Soarin' Around the World, Soaring Over the Horizon and Soaring: Fantastic Flight, is a flight motion simulator attraction at Disney California Adventure, Epcot, Shanghai Disneyland, and Tokyo DisneySea. It employs a mechanical lift system, a projected presentation on an 80 ft (24 m) concave 180-degree dome screen, and artificial scents and wind to simulate a hang gliding flight over locations in six of the world's continents. Many consider it the first flying theater.

If You Had Wings was an attraction at Walt Disney World. It was a two-person Omnimover dark ride in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom, sponsored by Eastern Air Lines. It featured travel destinations throughout the Caribbean and elsewhere, all of which were serviced by Eastern. It had an eponymous theme song by Buddy Baker.
Walt Disney Studios Park is the second of two theme parks built at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. which opened on 16 March 2002. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division. Upon opening, it was dedicated to show business, movie themes, production, and behind-the-scenes, but in the 2010s, in a similar manner to its sister park, Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida, it began to distance itself from the original studio backlot theming and entered a new direction of attraction development inspired by iconic Disney stories. In 2019, the park hosted approximately 5.2 million guests. The park is represented by the Earffel Tower, a water tower with Mickey Mouse ears similar to the one formerly located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which in turn was inspired by the water tower at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California.

The Land is a pavilion located in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The pavilion is dedicated to human interaction with the Earth, focusing on agriculture, conservation, and travel. It opened on October 1, 1982, as part of the Phase I features for the grand opening of what was then known as EPCOT Center. It explores how humans can both use the land for their benefit, and how they can also destroy it. Future Technology in better preserving the land is also explored in the pavilion, along with a focus on the celebration of the land itself.
Peter Pan's Flight is a rail-suspended dark ride at the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland theme parks. Located in the Fantasyland area of each park, its story, music, staging, and artwork are based on Walt Disney's Peter Pan, the 1953 animated film version of the classic Peter Pan story by J. M. Barrie. It is also one of the few remaining attractions that was operational on Disneyland's opening day in 1955, although the original version was entirely redesigned in 1983. Five of the six Disney resort destinations feature it, each with a unique exterior, walk-through queue and ride experience.
Adventuredome is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) indoor amusement park at Circus Circus in Winchester, Nevada on the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned by Phil Ruffin. It is contained within a large glass dome, and offers various rides and attractions including the Canyon Blaster and El Loco roller coasters, a rock climbing wall, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a video game arcade, and carnival-type games. Because the park is enclosed, it is unaffected by weather, unlike most theme parks, and is open year-round. Every October from 2003 until 2017, the Adventuredome was turned into the Halloween-themed Fright Dome.

MGM Grand Adventures was a theme park adjacent to the MGM Grand, a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. The theme park and resort were both developed by MGM Grand, Inc. Construction began in October 1991, and both projects opened on December 18, 1993. MGM Grand Adventures originally occupied 33 acres (13 ha), located northeast of the MGM Grand. The park featured a movie studio theme. It included seven rides and four theaters offering various shows.

Iron Man Experience is a 3-D motion simulator attraction in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland, which opened on 11 January 2017. The attraction is based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe character Iron Man, becoming the first Disney attraction to be based on a Marvel property. The attraction is located at the park's Tomorrowland section, in an area named "Stark Expo", adjacent to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Set a few years after the 2010 New York Stark Expo, Tony invites the visitors aboard the Iron Wing for a tour of Hong Kong, including the newly constructed Stark Tower. However, Hydra launches an attack on the city, led by Dr. Arnim Zola, forcing Tony to don the Iron Man armor and fight the menace alongside the Iron Wing.

Flyover is a flying theater attraction. The first Flyover attraction opened in 2013 at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The ride takes guests on a virtual flight across Canada, utilizing ride equipment for up to 61 people at a time into a 19m diameter spherical screen and employs wind, mist, and scents to enhance the experience. It has since opened at the Mall of America in the US, and downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, and in Las Vegas with plans to open a ride in Toronto.
