Flying disc at the 2013 World Games was composed of one sport, ultimate. The competition was held from July 28 to July 30 in Cali, Colombia. The six teams participating were Australia, Canada, Colombia, Great Britain, Japan and the United States which became the champion. [1]

2013 World Games

The 2013 World Games, the ninth World Games, were an international multi-sport event held in the city of Cali, Colombia, from July 25 to August 4.

The 1949 Campeonato Profesional was the second season of Colombia's top-flight football league. The tournament was started on April 25. 14 teams compete against one another and played each weekend. This tournament was famous for mark the beginning of El Dorado. Millonarios and Deportivo Cali, both with 44 points, played two final matches to decide the champion of the season. Santa Fe, the defending champion, was 3rd with 39 points.

2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup

The 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the 18th FIFA U-20 World Cup. Colombia hosted the tournament between 29 July and 20 August 2011, with matches being played in eight cities. The tournament was won by Brazil who claimed their fifth title.

The Second Stage of the 2009 Copa Santander Libertadores was a group stage. It was played from February 10 to April 30.

2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup

The 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the eighth FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Colombia from 10 September to 1 October 2016.

The second stage of the 2014 Copa Libertadores de América was played from February 11 to April 10, 2014. A total of 32 teams competed in the second stage.

The 22nd South American Youth Championships in Athletics were held in Cali, Colombia from November 28–30, 2014. The event was held jointly with the I Central American Youth Grand Prix. The majority of events took place at Estadio Pascual Guerrero, whereas throwing events were held at Estadio Pedro Grajales.

2015 World Youth Championships in Athletics

The 2015 World Youth Championships in Athletics was the ninth edition of the biennial international athletics competition for youth (under-18) athletes. The five-day competition took place between 15 and 19 July at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, Colombia. Eligible athletes were aged 16 or 17 on 31 December 2015.

2021 Copa América

The 2021 Copa América will be the 47th edition of the Copa América, the international men's football championship organized by South America's football ruling body CONMEBOL. The tournament will take place in Colombia and Argentina from 11 June to 10 July 2021. This will mark the first time it will be hosted by more than one country since 1983, when it was played in a home–away basis, and the first time in two countries.

The Clásico Vallecaucano is a football local derby contested between América de Cali and Deportivo Cali, both clubs based in Cali, Colombia. It is regarded as one of Colombia's oldest and most passionate rivalries, having been first played in an amateur regional championship in 1931, and with both contenders being closely matched in the all-time series. It has also been mentioned as one of the world's greatest football derbies by international media.

Group B of the 2021 Copa América, also referred to as the North Zone, will take place from 12 to 28 June 2021 in Colombia. The group consists of hosts Colombia, defending champions Brazil, guests Qatar, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru.

The 2020 Copa Libertadores group stage was played from 3 March to 22 October 2020. A total of 32 teams competed in the group stage to decide the 16 places in the final stages of the 2020 Copa Libertadores.

The 2020 Colombian Women's Football League was the fourth season of Colombia's top-flight women's football league. The season started on 16 October and ended on 13 December 2020.
