Football at the 2011 Pacific Games – Men's team squads

The 2011 Pacific Games football tournament was an international football tournament held in New Caledonia from 27 August until 9 September 2011. The 11 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of players; only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament. [1]

Contents

Players marked (c) were named as captain for their national squad. Players' club teams and players' age as of 27 August 2011 – the tournament's opening day.

The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the OFC member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners.

The New Caledonia national football team is the national team of New Caledonia and is controlled by the Fédération Calédonienne de Football. They have been one of this relatively small region's strongest teams, finishing second in 2008 and 2012, and third in 1973 and 1980. An initial four-team qualifying phase took place in Samoa from 22 to 26 November 2011 allowing the winner, Samoa, to move on and join the other seven teams at the main tournament.

The 2015 Pacific Games men's football tournament was the 14th edition of the Pacific Games men's football tournament. The men's football tournament was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea between 3–17 July 2015 as part of the 2015 Pacific Games. The tournament was age-restricted and open to men's under-23 national teams only.

Alma Mana'o is an American Samoan women's footballer based in King County, Washington. She holds the record for the most caps for the American Samoa women's football team. In 2018, Mana'o led the American Samoa team as co-captain in the Oceania Football Confederation Women's Nations Cup qualification tournament in Fiji, the first time in 20 years that the American Samoa women's team was involved in the qualification stages for the World Cup. During her college career, she played as a midfielder for Queens College in New York, and for 2014 NWAC champions Everett Community College in Washington. In 2022, Mana'o helped the Snohomish County FC Steelheads Women win the Northwest Premier League Indoor Championship.
