For Fair Elections was an electoral alliance formed by four opposition parties in Kyrgyzstan. It was formed on May 20, 2004, in preparation for the February 2005 parliamentary elections. Former Security Council secretary Misir Ashyrkulov was chosen as the blocs leader.

Following the Tulip Revolution, the alliance collapsed as Ar-Namys joined the new government of Kurmanbek Bakiyev. In 2006, he Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan resigned.
The Democratic Coalition is a social-liberal and social-democratic political party in Hungary led by former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány. Felix Sharshenbayevich Kulov is a Kyrgyz politician who served as the 9th Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from 2005 to 2007, following the Tulip Revolution. He first served from 1 September 2005 until he resigned on 19 December 2006. President Kurmanbek Bakiyev reappointed him acting Prime Minister the same day, but parliamentary opposition meant Bakiyev's attempts to renominate Kulov in January 2007 were unsuccessful, and on 29 January the assembly's members approved a replacement.
Ar-Namys is a political party in Kyrgyzstan founded on July 9, 1999, by former Prime Minister Felix Kulov. The party quickly became the nation's leading opposition party but was barred from the 2000 parliamentary elections. However, since the party was barred its members formed a bloc with the Democratic Movement of Kyrgyzstan. With Kulov serving time for criminal charges, the party's members worked over the next few years to both clear his name and establish a broad opposition coalition.

The People's Congress of Kyrgyzstan was an electoral alliance formed between the Ar-Namys (Dignity) party and three other opposition parties in Kyrgyzstan. Former Prime Minister Felix Kulov was elected Chairman of the Congress in November 2001. The Congress was founded to create an authentic democratic state and lead Kyrgyzstan out of political and economic crisis.
The Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan was a political party in Kyrgyzstan. Members formed the party on 1 October 1993, but did not register with the Justice Ministry until 16 December 1994. Abdygany Erkebaev served as the party's first chairman. Almazbek Atambayev replaced him on 30 July 1999. The majority of the party's membership is drawn from the country's entrepreneurs. Currently party is known as Social Democrats (Kyrgyzstan) and its active party chairman is Temirlan Sultanbekov.
The Ata-Meken Socialist Party is a social-democratic political party in Kyrgyzstan. Its current Chairman and founder is Omurbek Tekebayev, who is a former speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament. The party was registered on December 16, 1992, following a split between Tekebayev and the conservative Erkin Kyrgyzstan party. Ata-Meken eventually moved into the centre-left of the political spectrum.
Democratic Movement of Kyrgyzstan is a political party active in Kyrgyzstan. The party's Chairman is Jypar Jeksheev, who is also the founder of the movement. The party was founded on June 27, 1993 with Jeksheev as chairman until 2000, when he was succeeded by Edilbek Sarybaev.
Beren is a political party in Kyrgyzstan. The party was registered on December 30, 2006. The party is composed of former members of the Ar-Namys party, and advocates a parliamentary form of government.

Anvar Artykovich Artykov is a Kyrgyz politician, and current member of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan. Artykov served as governor of Osh Region between March and December 2005, and was previously a deputy between 1990 and 2000.
Parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan on 4 October 2020. The results showed that pro-government parties had won a supermajority of seats. The election was subsequently annulled by the Central Election Commission during the 2020 Kyrgyzstan protests.

The Social Democrats is a political party in Kyrgyzstan founded in late 2019 by supporters of former President Almazbek Atambayev – legal successor from the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDKP). After a conflict between Atambaev and his successor President Sooronbai Jeenbekov emerged and deepened in 2018, Atambayev accused of Jeenbekov in attempting to seize authority over the SDKP, a party that Atambayev himself formed in 1990s and served as a leader of. The SDK participated in the annulled 2020 parliamentary election. Current party leader is Temirlan Sultanbekov.
