Forrest Lucas (born February 1942) is an American businessman, the founder of Lucas Oil.
Lucas was born in February 1942, [1] in Ramsey, Indiana, where he grew up, the eldest of four children. [2] His parents Raymond and Marie had a small farm in Elkinsville, where he and his three sisters lived in "rural deprivation". [3]
He was educated to a high school level. [4]
Lucas bought his first truck when he was 19, and his first semi-trailer at 21. [4] He got a job with Mayflower Transit. He built up a fleet of 13-14 trucks, and started freight brokerage. Following the deregulation of freight in 1980, he was the first to get a full licence to deliver freight in 48 states. [5]
In 1988, he founded Lucas Oil. [4] In 2018, he founded Forrest Films, a film production company. [6]
Lucas is a founder of Protect the Harvest, a nonprofit organization which opposes "the radical animal rights movement" and particularly the Humane Society of the United States, which it calls "a wealthy and successful attack group". [7]
His first wife "couldn't stand to save money ... she'd spend it as fast as I made it", and they divorced in 1969. [3]
He has been married to Charlotte Lucas since 1982, and they have seven children. [8]

Rodney Adam Coronado is an American animal rights and environmental activist known for his militant direct actions in the late 1980s and 1990s. As part of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, he sank two whaling ships and destroyed Iceland's sole whale-processing facility in 1986. He led the Animal Liberation Front's Operation Bite Back campaign against the fur industry and its supporting institutions in the early 1990s, which was involved in multiple firebombings. Following an attack on a Michigan State University mink research center in early 1992, Coronado was jailed for nearly five years. He later admitted to being the sole perpetrator. The 1992 federal Animal Enterprise Protection Act was created in response to his actions. The operation continued with a focus on liberating animals rather than property destruction. Coronado also worked with Earth First.
Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is an auto racing facility in Brownsburg, Indiana, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Indianapolis. It includes a 0.686 mi (1.104 km) oval track, a 2.500 mi (4.023 km) road course, and a 4,400-foot (1,300 m) drag strip which is among the premier drag racing venues in the world. The complex receives about 500,000 visitors annually.
Emmis Corporation is an American media conglomerate based in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Emmis, based on the Hebrew word for "Truth" (Emet) was founded by Jeff Smulyan in 1980. Emmis has owned many radio stations, including KPWR and WQHT, which have notoriety for their Hip Hop Rhythmic format as well as WFAN, which was the world's first 24-hour sports talk radio station. The company is a medium size manufacturer of lubricants, including engine oils, greases, gear lubes, as well as problem-solving additives and car-care products. It produces and markets approximately 270 formulations in 40 countries. In the U.S., Lucas Oil is sold in more than 30,000 auto parts stores, displaying the most variety of shelf products of any oil company, and at truck stops nationwide. Lucas Oil has its plants in the United States. The original plant in Corona, California, which also housed Lucas Oil Corporate Headquarters and several affiliated companies, was closed in late 2022, moving the corporate HQ to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It replaced the RCA Dome as the home field of the National Football League (NFL)'s Indianapolis Colts and opened on August 16, 2008. The stadium was constructed to allow the removal of the RCA Dome and expansion of the Indiana Convention Center on its site. It is located on the south side of South Street, a block south of the former site of the RCA Dome. The stadium's naming rights belong to the Lucas Oil corporation.

The TSport 200 is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in the suburb of Clermont, Indiana, located west of Indianapolis. It was held each year starting in 1995 until 2011 and returned to the Truck Series schedule in 2022. The event has always been held on the same weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series Verizon 200 weekend at the nearby Indianapolis Motor Speedway, similar to the IndyCar Road to Indy Carb Night Classic serving the same purpose for the Indianapolis 500. From 1995 to 2000, the race was held on Thursday night. From 2001 to 2011, and again in 2022, the race was held on Friday night.

The organization has an allied political action committee, the Protect the Harvest PAC, which funds campaigns to assist or defeat candidates for political office.

The 2022 TSport 200 was the 17th stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the first race of the Round of 10, and the 18th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, July 29, 2022, in Brownsburg, Indiana at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, a 0.686 miles (1.104 km) permanent oval-shaped racetrack. The race was increased from 200 to 207 laps, due to a NASCAR overtime finish. In the final laps of the race, Grant Enfinger, driving for GMS Racing, took home the victory, after holding off the rest of the field with 2 laps to go. This was Enfinger's 7th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win, and his first win since 2020. He would also earn a spot in the next round of the playoffs. John Hunter Nemechek and Ty Majeski mainly dominated the race, leading 75 and 71 laps, respectively. To fill out the podium, Ben Rhodes, driving for ThorSport Racing, and Zane Smith, driving for Front Row Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
