Aberdeen is a city in and the county seat of Brown County, South Dakota, United States, located approximately 125 miles (201 km) northeast of Pierre. The city population was 28,495 at the 2020 census, making it the third most populous city in the state after Sioux Falls and Rapid City. Aberdeen is home of Northern State University.

The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas and Nebraska to the West, and Missouri in the South, with additional members in the Western state of Colorado and the Southern state of Oklahoma. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. The league headquarters are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Presentation College (PC) was a private Roman Catholic college with its main campus in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and a branch campus in Fairmont, Minnesota. The college, founded in 1951 and co-educational since 1968, enrolls nearly 800 students. It takes its name from the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM), the original sponsors. It grew out of their Notre Dame Junior College, founded in 1922 in Mitchell, South Dakota. The college closed at the end of summer 2023 due to financial and enrollment challenges.
The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), formerly the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC), is a college athletic conference. It participates in the NCAA's Division III and began its first season in the fall of 2006.
Brooks Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina. Brooks Field is the home of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks baseball team and has hosted the Colonial Athletic Association baseball tournament a number of times. The ballpark has a capacity of 3,500 people and first opened in 1989. In 2014 UNCW broke the 2009 record attendance of 3,608 with 3,826 people.

English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park is a baseball stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia. It is the home field of the Virginia Tech Hokies college baseball team. It was opened in 1989 and has a capacity of 1,033 in chair back seats plus additional grass-covered bank seating along the left field line known as "The Hill". English Field underwent an $20 million renovation in 2018.

Hal Robertson Field at Phillip Satow Stadium is a baseball venue in New York, New York, United States. It is home to the Columbia Lions baseball team of the NCAA Division I Ivy League. The facility is named for two Columbia baseball alumni– Hal Robertson and Phillip Satow. In 2007, a FieldTurf surface was installed, allowing for more use of the field during the offseason. In 2010, chairback seats were added, and the dugouts, press box, and scoreboard were renovated.
The Expedition League was a collegiate summer baseball league in the Great Plains region of the United States and Canada. The league was founded in 2015 in Rapid City, South Dakota, by Steve Wagner, who also served as president. The league's inaugural season was 2018 with eight teams.
Keegan Field is an amateur sports field located in Yuma, Arizona, United States. The 4‐acre athletic facility contains a softball field with lights for night games and is part of the larger 32-acre Kennedy Park Athletic Complex. It was named in honor of Frances Keegan, a local supporter of amateur athletics.
The Hub City Hot Shots were an amateur baseball club located in Aberdeen, South Dakota. They were formed in 2018. The Hot Shots were a part of the Expedition League and were in the Lewis Division. In their two seasons, they had gone 51-73.
The University of South Florida athletic facilities are the stadiums and arenas the South Florida Bulls use for their home games and training. The University of South Florida currently sponsors 19 varsity athletic teams and has 11 facilities in the designated Athletics District on or adjacent to its Tampa campus, one on its St. Petersburg campus, and one elsewhere in Tampa. 18 of the 19 teams have some sort of facility in the USF Athletics District.
