Joel Gibb is a Berlin-based Canadian artist and singer-songwriter who leads the "gay church folk" group The Hidden Cameras. He was born in Kincardine, Ontario.
Jens Martin Lekman is a Swedish musician. His music is guitar-based pop with heavy use of samples and strings, with lyrics that are often witty, romantic, and melancholic. His work is heavily influenced by Jonathan Richman and Belle & Sebastian, and he has been likened to Stephin Merritt, David Byrne, and Scott Walker.
Roy Lee "Rocky" Dennis was an American teenager who had craniodiaphyseal dysplasia, an extremely rare sclerotic bone disorder. The condition usually results in neurological disorders and death during childhood or teenage years. His life was the basis for the 1985 drama film Mask.
Kortedala is a district, mainly residential (apartments), in the north-eastern part of Gothenburg in western Sweden. The area has a population of around 10,000 and is one of the typical 1950s suburbs of Gothenburg. The area has many trees and parks. Kortedala also has Gothenburg's largest ice-skating rink, Isdala, and a large sports centre, Alelyckan. There are four local squares, three smaller ones and the larger Kortedala Torg. Kortedala is on tram lines 6, 7 and 11, with line 6 terminating at Aprilgatan.

It was first released on Service on 8 June 2005, and later re-released on 22 November 2005 on Secretly Canadian. The album is composed of previously released tracks taken from Maple Leaves (2003), Rocky Dennis in Heaven (2004), and Julie (2004), as well as "F-Word" (2003) from a CD distributed in the fanzine En Garde and "The Wrong Hands" (2004) from the Accelerator compilation.

Dennis, who suffered from the extremely rare medical condition known as craniodiaphyseal dysplasia.
