Fowler Creek

Fowler Creek is a stream in Boone County in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] It is a tributary of Cedar Creek, [2] which in turn is a tributary of the Missouri River.

The stream headwaters arise just east of the Columbia regional airport [3] at 38°48′49″N92°12′57″W / 38.81361°N 92.21583°W / 38.81361; -92.21583 . [1] It flows generally south passing through a portion of eastern eastern Boone County and enters Cedar Creek at the Callaway County line [2] at 38°42′47″N92°13′01″W / 38.71306°N 92.21694°W / 38.71306; -92.21694 Coordinates: 38°42′47″N92°13′01″W / 38.71306°N 92.21694°W / 38.71306; -92.21694 . [1]

It is named after the local Fowler family. [4]

Turkey Creek is a stream in the Ozarks of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. It is a tributary of Lake Taneycomo. The stream source is two-thirds of a mile south of the Missouri - Arkansas border in Boone County north of the village of Crest. The Missouri Pacific Railroad line follows the stream course after exiting the Crest railroad tunnel under Arkansas State Route 14 at Crest. North of the state line in Taney County the stream flows north through west Hollister to its confluence with Lake Taneycomo south of Branson. The stream covers a linear distance of 86 mi (138 km) between the border and its confluence.
